SOOOO many choices
I am taking my daughter to WDW in April of 04 for her graduation present. WE have airfare now just need a place to stay
I have stayed both on and off property. I know off is cheaper, but on is easier (well more convenient anyway). I don't really want to rent a car and would prefer to stay on, but,,,, we are on a budget. I took my son to WDW when he was much (much!) younger and we had the good fortune to stay at polynesian. It was wonderful.
Help me decide where to stay, and why.

I would stay at a value resort like we are - although I'd pick Pop Century because it's new. I like the convenience and magic of on-site and think not renting a car is a huge plus for us on both the budget / hassle fronts. Perhaps we'll see you there - we're in the world 04/04/04-04/10/04

THanks. We will surely stay on property. Where will depend upon what resort we can get ressies at. It is the peak season. I just want to have enough money to eat too We won't arrive till afternoon on the 10th. Have a great time!

Cathy - drat - looks like we'll just miss each other. We are trying All Star Sports this time. Dear sons are 13 and 10 and wanted a change from Movies (where we have stayed previously)

I made ressies at the Dolphin today via Dreams Unlimited (thanks Bob!) We are sooooo excited. Been almost 5 years since I have been there.

We can't wait. We've never stayed there before, but I wanted to make this trip extra extra special for the daughter and wanted to stay at a deluxe. THey had great nurse rates so that's the only reason we will be able to stay there.

I agree - it's an extra special trip! Wow - I didn't realize they had special rates for special occupations - that's cool. Doubt they give any discounts to accountants though Being a nurse, that's a very admirable occupation.

crz4mm2 - I'll be there too! Hubby works for the fed. govt., I just found out about the great rates there this year, and we stayed at the Dolphin for the first time in August. I'm hooked! You'll love it there, great location, beautiful rooms, heavenly beds, lovely grotto pool...I can't wait to go back!
You can also book your PS' through DU, I got everything I requested, even Cinderella's Royal Table character breakfast. DU is great to work with.

mplsmom: What would we do without our accountant? pretty admirable occupation if you ask me! I am lucky enough to be a nurse midwife. Wonderful to help bring new babies into a family!

We will be at the Dolphin Club Level, also for Easter! My DD is also graduating HS this year but we are not sure if she will be joining us for Easter break or not. Our DS is only 10. You are going to love the Swan and Dolphin!

The Swan and Dolphin both have their own concierge level in their respective hotels. Call it "club level" or "concierge". It is basically "concierge light" if you want to compare it to Disney concierge, but it also doesn't cost as much! At the Swan they have the famous MommaT who is a total sweet heart, and Thabo goes between the two hotels. My children both enjoyed talking to both of them, and talking to Thabo was a highlight of our vacation! They are both outstanding! Think of it as a continental breakfast, though I think better than Disney, then an evening snack between 5-8 (I think I have the hours correct). Pop/water/coffee/tea/juice/etc available at both times, an honor bar at the latter. They do have these amazing chocolate croissants in the morning!
For regular concierge "services", use the concierge desk in the main lobby *or direct dial from your room* any guest of the Swan/Dolphin can use that service as it is a service of the hotel. They made all of my PSs for me much more quick than Disney dining would have been able to.

Cathy~ I delivered at the hospital, but had no interventions... It was a great experience!

We arrive the night of the 7th and leave the morning of the 15th!
