easiest rental car option

Hi all

My husband and I are taking our 3 yr old on a short cruise in March. Arriving the day before at 2:30. We would like to head to the DTD area for a night before heading to port. Here is the dilemma: we have been to disney many times and DH is always incredibly aggravated by the entire car rental process...it takes so long and puts him in a bad mood before the vacation even begins!!! He wants to enjoy the trip from beginning to end so he doesnt want to do car rentals....I dont want to pay all the $$ associated with taxis and car service. I thought we would just use National and use the emerald aisle scenario but the only car available to take one way was $200...ridiculous!!

Any suggestions....is there any way to check in on line with other car rental places and just head right to car when we get to MCO....right now we could get a car for around $75 all in so I am willing to go up to around $100 for convenience....

I'm a fan of Budget. They have a Fast Break program that you can register for online-it's free!! Not only do they offer discounts, you answer those annoying questions about insurance, etc... when you register!! They even have a separate line at the airport for Fast Break members! Your paperwork is ready when you reserve a car online. You show your drivers' license, sign, and you're off to your car!

We have always rented from Alamo. I check in online and print the confirmation page at home, then after we arrive at MCO we just walk to the garage and pick a car. After we get all of our stuff loaded, we drive to the exit booth, give the agent our IDs and the credit card and we are done in a few minutes.
