Early Royal Table Reservation - Transportation Options

This site has been a wealth of information during the planning of our family's first Disney World vacation so just want to thank everyone in advance for their input...

I made an ADR at Cinderella's Royal Table for 8:30 AM on our first day in the Magic Kingdom. We will be staying at the Beach Club resort. According to the website the bus service starts an hour before the parks open which would be 8 AM. I've heard that the bus service from the Beach Club to the Magic Kingdom can take a while since it stops at multiple resorts. This will be cutting it really close to make our reservation. So should we take a cab instead of the bus the first day? What is our best option?

I believe WDW runs buses as early as 6:30 am specifically for early ADRs at the parks.

If you're at all worried, I'd just take a cab to the Contemporary and walk over from there. I don't know if a cab can go to the MK front gates (forget that fact) but yes it would be quicker probably (unless you go out and the bus is right there and you time it right).

That's just one of the many things the website is incorrect about. Bus service starts at 6:30 every morning. You will want to be at the bus stop by 7:30.

No the cab will not drop you off at the front gate at MK it will drop you at the TTC and then you can take the monorail.

So Yes its best to take the cab to the Contemporary and walk over. the walk is about 5-8 minutes depending on how fast you walk.

Buses start running every morning, from resorts to parks, by 6:30. They run a bit less frequently than regular buses do, so plan accordingly. For an 8:30 ADR at MK, I would be at the MK bus stop no later than 7:30.
If you decide to take a cab, get one by 8, and go to the CR. Then you can walk over to MK (under 10 mins) via the sidewalk that runs underneath the monorail track!

Great...I didn't realize the buses ran that early. We will plan to be there at the bus stop no later than 7:30 and will use the cab as our backup plan. Thanks everyone!
