HRC what happens at a pin event? I have never really gotten into pintrading heavily, BUT I have A lot of pins that I bought over the years..I am nit really sure what to do with them. I wish I could display them nicely, as I have some neat ones.

Hi there! Just checking in! Got my invoice from the TA this week, so now I feel my trip is official. My sisters and I are really looking forward to our first trip together. I gave them my passporter book to look over and when I visited them last week, we watched the cruise dvd. We just finished Spring Break. We traveled to Philly to visit my sisters and other family members. My DS 14 went with a friend's family on the Carnival Miracle to the Western Caribbean. He had a awesome time (made lots of friends), but still likes Disney. We're back into the swing of things now and the daily routine. Hope everyone is doing fine!

Hi Laura,
It feels good to get that invoice in the mail huh? I think it is the only time I get, essentially a bill, and I am happy about it! LOL
My only wish is that I knew what room I got. I am soo hoping for an upgrade, which is why we chose Cat 12 GTY.......we have our fingers crossed for an upgrade, but after 4 cruises and never having received an upgrade it is very unlikely! LOL We are having SpringBreak week this week coming up.....The kids only have 6 weeks left in school! I am glad! We have a trip to WDW coming up at the end of May and I am soooooooooooooo ready for it!

Voss are we still on for the day room?

Yep, no change in plans here! Cannot wait however. Went to a twins club garage sale today & found several Disney outifts for pocket change. Everytime I see the characters on their clothes or on tv or whatever, it gets me excited! :cool1: How fun is that to go to WDW next month! I am so jealous. DH can't get off work, and with the great SWA fares, I almost just booked for DD and myself. Wouldn't that have been fun? She turns 5 in May. But, alas, I really should save up to pay for the Sept trip instead of blowing my wad now! ha. LOL. Maybe next year? ha ha

What is a twins club garage sale and how is it different than a regular garage sale?

/
Oh...well, one of my friends has twins. She's a member of our local twins club. Anyone with twins can join. They have 2 garage sales a year held at a local church. All the members bring their stuff and sell it. Very organized and tons of stuff. I think I saw at least 10 cribs, 10 bikes, 10 strollers, tons of toys, and racks and racks of clothes. They borrow hanging racks and bags from a local store, Gordmans to use to hang all the clothes. It can be a madhouse...lines a block long just to get in, but its an event to see who can get the good stuff first! ha ha

Wow I have never heard of such a thing.....not my bag of chips LOL I dont want to have to fight for a good deal. I like to stumble across good deals!

I just checked today out of curiousity and when i did, it looked like no more inside cabins were available. Do the cruises usually fill up this quickly?

WE are getting close to fill up! Maybe if they inside cabins are gone, I might finally get an upgrade! LOL

Hi Amanda,
Sorry for the delay, got back from Dallas and my sinus are killing me, 3 months after sinus surgery #2 and right back were I was, I hope the one in 2 weeks, will fix them for good, you know that saying "3rd times a charm."

At pin events were trade, buy, and sell pins (I trade only) and tell stories about pins, HRC (Hard Rock Cafe) trips and fun with other trades. I came home with about 25 pins for 1 day trading, not bad. There were about 75 to 80 traders there Sat. so pins were flying everywhere. Then a bunch of us went out on the town having fun.
That's what the pins events are for me, talking with old friends and such, pins come 2nd or 3rd now.
I have my "Keeper" pins on beach towels hanging on the wall, and my real good (big bucks pins) in a glass case. Then I have my trader bags, which is what I take to HRC's to trade or give pins to the staff. Have been thinking if I should bring my big bad or small bag on the cruise, will go to the Orlando & Nassau HRC's, but just might pick up what I like, or need. I have cut way back, with over 4000 pins, and 200+ traders, I pick up what I like, or if I know someone is looking for that pin, I get it for them.

Mom does the Disney pin trades (I do too so what, only get what I like). She runs around like a little kid, it's funny (you didn't hear that from me OK) I have been doing HRC pins for over 13 years, and when I went to my first Disney pin event, I didn't have a cue, Now I know what non HRC pin traders feel like.

OK no more pin talk, don't what to bore anyone.

Hey folks! NO one has done a 5 month dance yet??? Where is everyone ! Dance with me!!:cool1:

 we're dancin', we're dancin' :cheer2: , just haven't been posting our excitement though.

I know that we haven't posted much, but we are looking forward to having a met if anyone is planning one. We are planning on arriving on Saturday.
We have the late seating, hopefully we can get in on the 8:00 seating if they continue the current 3 time sections.

We still have to purchase airfare, so far looks like AirTran is the lowest out of Dallas, Tx. Still waiting for Southwest to book past Septemeber 12.

Oh yea, for clarification, the only ones traveling this cruise will be my wife and myself.

Anyone planning on dressing up for Pirates night? We have looked at different costumes and do not want to be the only adults (without kids) dressing up.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Cody and Jennie Shaw

:cool1:  :cheer2: I'm dancin with ya!
I'm waiting on SWA as well. If you look at the flyertalk forums, FAQ #19, there is a formula for when they open bookings. I figured it out as May 5, but post here if you find out anything different! Thanks!

Thanks for the info.

Not sure if they will be any lower than AirTrans though. They have roundtrip (nonstop) from DFW to MCO for $215. If we fly SWA we will have to fly out of Oklahoma City. Something about SWA not being able to fly out of Texas to certain places :confused3 . But lucky for us both DFW and OKC are about the same distance from our home. Just playing the waiting game.

Hello All,
Just drop in to say HI,
We too still looking for airfare from Phoenix, found the flight I wanted with Delta, check with my mother, and went to book it, and it was gone. They pull the fight out of the system, call and said, they no longer have that flight.
So I back looking for flights again.

Hope you all have a good week,
Wrench

Hi Everyone,
I know its alittle late, but here's my 5 month dance...
Hope everyone is doing well. I spoke with my sisters in PA today and they're getting excited. We all purchased our airfare, now we have to plan the car rental and hotel. Not sure which combination is best. I know folks like to rent the cars one way, but it seems like a lot of shuttles to take (and dragging the luggage along!). So, still working on that. We're doing the 2nd seating at dinner. Anyone else? Someone mentioned 3 seating times? I haven't heard of that.
Earlier, someone mentioned the twins club garage sale. Here, we have the Children's Consignment Sale 2X a year. The one that I participate in has about 150 families that consign nice used clothing and toys, books, baby equipment, furniture, little tykes, etc. The person who organizes it does it 70/30. The consignor gets 70% of her sales. It's great because I consign lots of stuff (in good condition) that the kids have outgrown. I go to the sale and buy next season's clothes for 1/4 what you spend in the stores. Then I get a check for what I sold. Hopefully, what I spent is about what I made, so then its just a SWAP :) . Several church groups and community groups do it each season.
Once again, hope everyone is doing well!
Take care,
Laura

DCL is testing a new seating schedule. The late seating times are now 8:00, 8:15 & 8:30. They haven't made these times official as yet, but I can see advantages to this type of seating schedule.

The following was taken from another website in regards to this new schedule.

Disney Wonder Tests Rotational Dining Times

On June 12, the Disney Wonder will test a slight change to the rotational dining times. Guests currently scheduled for Main Dining will be assigned a dining time of 5:45 p.m., 6:00 p.m. or 6:15 p.m. Guests scheduled on Second Dining will be assigned a dining time of 8:00 p.m., 8:15 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. In addition, entertainment options each evening will be arranged to compliment the revised dining times. This test is based on Guest feedback and will provide greater movement throughout the ship prior to and following the dinner service.
