Early Roll Call For January 29, 2005 western....Anyone Out There?

Called my TA yesterday, he called DCL (so did I) they said will be here 14 days prior to sailing, lets hope sooner!

Will start packing tomorrow, got a few more items today at the mall, hopefully it will make our Docs come quicker.

The meeting on Monday is a great idea! also what about a quick get together Sunday AM at the Club when we drop of the kids, at least we can put names and faces together and if we exchange stateroom numbers so the kids can "chat", I know Megan would get a kick out of that :cheer2: :cheer2:

Any other 5-7 boys out there who will be joining my boys in the Club? I have one son turning 7 on the cruise, and I also have a 5 year old son. Does anyone know if they do anything special for a child's birthday?
Hi Laurie,

We have 2 boys on the cruise. Jack will turn 6 on 1/27. Joe will be 4 1/2 during the cruise. We are originally from SD. Hope the rain stopped.

We got our docs as well. I understand that getting them signifies that the cruise is close, but really, what is the big deal?

OMG..disney lover i just printed 28 pages....now these are just examples right...i saw dates for june and april????

Yes, these are examples of the Western....but they are very close to what we will get in our stateroom each night.

Like, if you want to sign up for Palo...or hairbraiding....you can look on here to have a good idea of what you need to do. The shows are pretty much the same night by night as what you see here.

Also on the DCLTRIBUTE you can look at the kids club stuff. Here is the 3-4 year old one....you can click around from here and find the other ages, if you are interested.

My first post, but thanks to all for providing so much information. We're doing our first cruise with the kids, and are eagerly searching for a 7-8 y.o. girl for my older daughter to meet. Thanks to Maria, my little one (5) is now bursting to meet her newfound friend. If there's a 7-8 y.o. out there looking for company, please feel free to contact me.

On the question end, since Lumiere's is more "dressy," what happens if your scheduled night there is NOT on a formal/semiformal night? Should we be ready for possibly 3 nights in nicer attire?

Again, thanks everyone for all the info...

Steve, Welcome~! You will just love Disney Cruise Line.

I have a 3rd grader, Gretchen, she turned 8 on July 24th. She has been dying for me to find someone for her on the ship. Does your little girl do Instant Messaging or what e-mail address can Gretchen send her a note too?

Gretchen likes dance (she dances 5 hours a week with a company), cheerleading and gymnastics. She likes to sing and dress up! She is all little girl.

I still have a 5th grader (11 DD).......anybody with any other girls?

if you older daugher is 7...i have a 6 y.o. that is as tall as many 7 y.olds. gotta measure her but she must be aboout 51" by now.

if she is 8..she's in the lab and won't be with my daughter.

Hi Lisa,
We'll be sailing with you. I have an 11 year old daughter, 7 yr old boy and a 5 yr old boy. The 11 yr old is very anxious to go to the lab and meet kids her own age. She gets tired of hanging with her younger brothers. Sounds like lots of kids to play with. I can't wait.
Linda

Hi Linda,
Annie will be thrilled! She is in 5th grade and loves school and dance. I will send you a PM with her IM and e-mail address.

i miss my old TA....

called the TA yesterday. she said she called Disney yesterday and they said we should have the DOCS within the next week. :cheer2:

if we rebook onboard..the $200 credit...is that a set amount or does it depend on how much your total cruise is? can we use that on excursions or is it limited to alcohol, ship shops?

njdrumrun-- Yep, there's a Pirate theme night (used to be tropical night). From what I understand, Disney hands out pirate bandanas at dinner and folks do come dressed in pirate gear. I guess the ones who do get "special attention"-- whatever that means. I would guess the Shutters folks will be around you more than usual, etc. Anyway, we thought it would be fund for DS and DD, then as you can see from my other thread, the whole thing snowballed on me! Come on, join us and dress up!!
