Early Roll Call For January 29, 2005 western....Anyone Out There?

It looks like a big partee!

DisneyLover5 - We are spending Easter at WDW! It has become our Family Tradition. At first we were not going to because of buying into DVC but when Disney came out with a Cdn at Par! Well, Pop Century came within a budget to go! No, I don't take my mother with us. She's been to Disneyland and thinks that is enough!LOL The thing with my mother is she has been a strong woman all her life and this has set her back. But it still amazes me sometimes what she is still capable of accomplishing!

How is Daniel doing? Any progress?

Enjoy Your last Day of Winter Everybody! Funny thing is they keep telling us it's gonna snow! Bad Weatherman!LOL

Jamie, COME WITH US!! This is so short notice we really don't have many plans!! PM me!

Jill, Welcome again!! Your mom is my age!! I will have my DS14 and his two best friends (I call them DS15 and DS14) DD11 and DD7. Your step stisters can join the crowd of girls. They had so much fun last time. When it gets closer the girls all start IMing and they all seemed to know each other by the time we got on the cruise.

I cant' wait...I can't wait....I can't wait:tongue:

I JUST WANTED TO SAY HI TO Y'ALL!!! HAPPY EASTER! I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT SPRING BREAK(I AM JEALOUS OF THOSE SPENDING IT IN WDW WITH THE MOUSE;) ) AND I KNOW THAT YOU ARE ALL MOSTLY FROM COLD PLACES (LIKE ME) AND LOOKING FORWARD TO SPRING............. WE ARE IN THE HOME STRETCH FOR THE GIRLS DANCE RECITAL(THANK GOD!!) WE ARE GOING NUTS WITH PRACTICES 4 DAYS A WEEK BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM.
I HATE THE THOUGHT OF WAITING ALMOST 9 MONTHS UNTIL THE CRUISE...............THE ONLY THING GETTING ME THRU IS KNOWING WE ARE GOING TO WDW IN JULY. :bounce:
I HOPE EVERYONE IS GOOD, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO CHATTING WITH YOU GUYS SOON!
OH, WELCOME NEW CRUISERS!!!!!!!!!:teeth:

Well, looks like the East Caost is finally going to get some decent weather this weekend.

We spent the week before Easter in Orlando, but did not go to any major Disney park.....we heard the lines were 3 hours for rock and roller coaster! We went to Downtown Disney, Seaworld and Typhoon Lagoon. We hung around the pool and had wonderful weather.

My church is now talking about taking a Disney cruise all together. My husband says that I have talked the whole church into wanting to go.

I am ready to go now to the Magic:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I hope everyone is fine and glad summer is almost here.

Take care all,
Lisa

We got to spend Easter with the Mouse!

Even though it was crowded, we still enjoyed! We finally got the courage to do Mission Space! DD loved it, me well, let's just say once is enough!LOL We lucked out because when the downpour happened on Monday, the park was empty and we virtually walked on Mission Space!

We liked that fact that after WISHES, everybody cleared out of MK and got to ride with little or no wait!

Can't wait to get back for Halloween!

Keep Healthy Everybody!

So have you done the Western before? If you have, can you fill us in on some of the best things to do.

Sorry Scratch, don't have any input to offer about the Western Cruise. Our first cruise was the 7 day Land/Sea on the Wonder in 2002, then the Eastern 7 day in 2003. We took this year off because we moved into a new home and just couldn't do it financially. We are so excited about next year, and we have a pretty good size group going so it will be lots of fun. For loads of information on things to do in Cozumel, I've been reading this thread:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=318896

There's a lady who lives there and she offers advice to all of us visiting the island. There's some really great ideas there, especially if you have kids.

On the past two cruises we've opted out of purchasing excursions through the cruise line because they are so expensive when you can essentially do the same things for half the price if not cheaper by going through the locals. I know that some people have bad experiences doing that, but so far we've had great luck. We scored on the Eastern cruise when we got to St. Thomas. We got a van and paid 40.00 per person, less for the kids, and he dropped us off at Sapphire beach - gorgeous, not crowded - then picked us up several hours later and took us for a tour of the island. It was awesome and we saw most of the real island, not just the touristy parts. He stopped at several places for some great photo ops, then we drove to the top of the island, got their famous banana daquiri and back to the ship. It was amazing, and a lot for what we paid. I'm hoping we can get a good deal like that on some of the stops on the Western. We're such penny pinchers!

At least we can all help each other with any info we find out!

I started reading that thread but decided to wait until closer to sailing date. But have already informed DD that Mini Golf is on our list of things to do!

I'm a penny pincher too but sometimes the excitement gets the better of me!LOL

I've already bought a new dress for Semi-Formal Night! Could not resist the price!

I just transfered our DCL reservation we booked onboard to DU. I kept the same price and 200.00 stateroom credit and was able to get Dreams Unlimited $100.00 off special. They have a special discount till the end of the month. The $$'s off depends on the final price of the cruise. 2000.00 to 3000.00 is 75.00, 3 to 4 is 100.00, 4 to 5 is 150.00 and over 5000.00 is 200.00. More money to spend onboard.

Who did you work with to transfer your reservation at DU? I saw a thread eariler and it had a name of a gentleman, but I can not find it now,
Thanks
Lisa

I worked with a John Magi, but when I transfered the reservation it was assigned to a different TA named Tammy. I guess since I was transfering a reservation it goes to the next TA in line. I originally had gotten a price from DU by John and then worked with him on what I needed to do to transfer my reservation. All I needed to do was fill out a transfer form online and a short time later I received an email with a confimation and ID number showing the price and the 100.00 extra credit.

Hey guys! Long time, no post. I haven't posted because I've been really hoping I get to cancel this cruise. I'm pregnant (finally!) and am due in mid-November. It's still early on in the pregnancy, but I've gotten farther along that I have with my last couple of pregnancies. All my hormone numbers look good, so I'm getting more and more optimistic. Of course, that means we'll have to cancel (or postpone) the trip, but I can't even be bummed by that.

DH is afraid of jinxing us, so he doesn't want me to cancel yet. But, as the first day of my second trimester, I'm cancelling. I know, I shouldn't be so excited about cancelling, but since it means such other great things, I can't be too bummed.

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the return of spring.

CONGRATULATIONS!
