!!!! Early Roll Call for January 21 2006 Eastern Magic Cruise !!!!

Hi there Kelley,
OOO I went and checked my email and this will be our flight.

Itinerary:
Friday, January 20 - PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL(PHL) to ORLANDO INT(MCO)
Flight 2698 V
Depart PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL(PHL) at 10:40AM and
Arrive in ORLANDO INT(MCO) at 1:35PM

I think we miss each other by a few minutes. We're flying Southwest. :cool1:

Scubabeck,

We arrive at MCO at 1:30 on Fri but we're coming from Toronto so it's an international flight. We are also staying at the Radisson that night and are booked on the 10:30 Radisson shuttle to the terminal.

Getting very excited!

We arrive at 11:10pm on Thursday and are heading to Disney to visit Mickey ::MickeyMo on Friday. Breakfast with Pooh & Friends, a visit to the barber shop, ride some rides, dinner at Jiko (yummy), then off to Epcot for Soarin' & Mission Space :faint: then to bed.... Think we can fit it all in? Only six more days 'till we're on our way!

Hey Crazy4M,

Do you want to get together for dinner... We heard the resturant at the Radisson was rather good. We thought we would just eat there. Your welcome to join us if you like.
How does 630pm sound?

Now that I can start thinking about packing...are the kids okay (well, boys) to wear shorts at dinner? My daughter has sundresses, etc. but I don't want to take pants for the boys for the whole week (other than for the two dressy nights). So even though it says no shorts, swimwear and tank tops - are the kids okay?

My grandson is wearing shorts to dinner. I don't think that anyone will say anything.

Lisa,

Didn't you get the info packet on the dress code?

Here is what DCL says:

"...Children who will be attending dinner in the three main dining rooms are required to dress appropriately. Boys should be in long trousers with button down shirts. On formal nights, boys are required to wear ties."

Better make room in the suitcase.

Just kidding. :rotfl2:

I don't think anyone really cares what the kids are wearing. If I remember correctly from our 3-nighter in October, DS was in shorts and a t-shirt the first night. The kids' attire usually doesn't stand out unless it is completely inappropriate (i.e. a swim suit at dinner).

People need to remember that kids will be cranky if they are uncomfortable. If they have a problem with how the kids look, eat at the late seating, go to PALO, or get off the ship.

I should mention though, we did make DS wear pants to dinner on the 7 night last year. Also, except for the instance mentioned above, he wore pants on the 3 nighter. We just did PALO that first night and rushed him up to dinner afterwards from the kids club. We weren't about to change him.

We will probably have him in pants this trip too, but he usually doesn't mind. Pretty easy going.

Eeeek. No - we actually didn't get the packet. Since my parents booked the trip, they received most of the stuff in LA. :cool1: So I have an excuse right?!

I think they are going to have to have shorts at least two nights, they'll be nice ones though. I'll have to review the items again! I've just had them trying it all on!

Lisa - My DGS is 4and has nice shorts that he wears to church that he will be wearing. On formal nights he also will be wearing short outfits that are formal with knee socks. If anyone says anything then I guess we just won't be eating in the dining rooms because the only long pants besides sweats or jeans that he has are his school uniforms.

Scubabeck,

Thanks for the invite, but I think we're going to leave things very open. We want to do some shopping that day/night (since we're in the USA) and plan on returning the car that night (depending on their hours) and of course pool etc. Maybe we'll bump into you around the hotel otherwise onboard at the cruise meet.

That's kewl... Have fun shopping. I think we are going to attempt to relax around the pool and then eat dinner and head to bed early. I think I will try and take a stroll before turning in, help dinner digest some. lol.

I love the Sea .... I spend my life thinking of the Blue Blue Sea.Hey you mentioned the Big Red Boat....I told someone that Disney had a boat called the Big Red Boat before the Magic and Wonder.... So I was right there was a Big Red Boat? What year were you on it?

Anyone going to WDW on Sat 1/28?

I got an email for AP holders last night with some really good discounts....

Value resorts for $49/night + tax, = $55 (email listed at $59, but the 28th is coming up at $49)

Moderate for $79/night + tax = $88

At this point, I booked at AllStar Sports for $55 total. Was thinking of upgrading to a Moderate...but it's only for the night, and we won't spend much time there.

Will ride Expedition Everest on Saturday for the Preview, see some more of Animal Kingdom with the kids, then go to Magic Kingdom for the evening and see SpectroMagic and Wishes. (AK closes at 5pm, MK is open til 9pm, SM at 8pm, Wishes at 9pm). We can then go back to the room, sleep, then drive home Sunday morning.

I'm not telling the kids....they will think we are going home on Saturday, and I will pull up to Animal Kingdom :cool1:

I am a football junkie and with that being said, I have a question. On Sunday of our cruise, there are two conference championship games. What are the chances of seeing them on the ship?

I hope you both know I was joking. There is NO dress code guidelines in the DCL docs.

As for the shorts, the kids will be fine. There will actually be adults on the formal nights in casual pants and polo shirts. I feel kids in dress shorts and a nice shirt looks dressy. We are putting DS in a Tux :groom: for the formal nights because DW wants some formal family pictures.

Even better than just seeing them in the Sports Bar, I bet they put them up on the Jumbo Tron at the Family Pool.

If they do put it on the Jumbo Screen by the pool We'll be there watching it. I'm pretty sure that is where my hubby will be lol.

Boy, this cruise is going to be awful.

I wonder who will be going to the playoffs that determine Superbowl?
