Early Robin or Late Owl.?

We almost always close out the parks or get close to closing them, we have never witnessed a rope drop but have been there pre-rope drop for breakfasts. Since we bought DVC we've stopped being commando visitors unless we're with first-timers and take more time since we know we're returning. We work such hectic schedules at home, we like to have a few days of waking up whenever we naturally want to rather than via an alarm clock.

it depends. we're west coasters so it's really hit or miss with resetting our internal clocks. we've hit rope drop accidentally before but we've also hung out till close and eaten dinner super late. generally, i try to wake us up at 8 a.m. sometimes it works, sometimes not so much.

We're early birds up for the rope drop. Flying in from the UK our body clocks take a few days to adjust. DD is 8 and we've not made it to fireworks as she is spark out after dinner. All that excitement, fresh air and walking Me and hubby are usually not far behind her falling asleep.

My nature is to be a night-owl & I hate getting up early, but for some reason I chose to become an elementary school teacher whose work day begins at 7:30am. The upside (besides the kids I work with) is that getting up early at Disney for rope drop isn't hard at all, because it's still later than when I have to get up for work in the real world.

Pre-baby, we were both - even during peak times with late hours. My sister and I have done 7 am EMH until midnight, and 9 am rope drop - 3 am EMH (do they ever even do EMH that late anymore? I haven't been during peak in a while).

On our first trip with our 12mo DD we did rope drop to close on our MK days but it was in January when the park closed earlier. She's a stellar stroller napper/sleeper. On our next trip, we will have a 12mo and a 2.5 year old. We'll see what we decide to do on that trip! Hopefully the next baby will be a great stroller napper too! Planning lots of trips to our zoo to practice :)

We go during value season, so no sense in being a night owl as the parks close at 9. I am not a morning person, but at WDW, I'm the 1st one up, showered and ready to go!!!!:yo-yo: My hubby laughs at me since he's normally the 1st one up at home. When we did MK we were there at 8;15 for the 9 am opening and stayed till 10 (EMH) the kids were 8 and 5 and made it through with no complaints

I'm a late owl, but I have a family of early birds so I adapt! We'll have a RD or two on our upcoming trip...and if we don't RD, we'll arrive right after.

We are both. We almost always see rope drop or EMH in the mornings and typically close the parks as well. We usually go in the summer so we take a break in the afternoon to re-energize before hitting a different park in the evening. That gives us two parks a day, one to open and one to close.

BOTH for sure! My philosophy is, if I'm going to pay an exhorbitant amount of money for a trip, I'm sure gonna get every dime out of it. Once we enter the park (at opening) we don't leave until they push us out, haha! My poor kids... pirate:

Now that I have older kids (two 9yos), I'm kinda both. We're always up early since the kids can't seem to sleep past 6-6:30am so we make an early start. However, DH and the two younger kids tire around 2pm, so we return to the room mid-day. Then the older kids and I hit the parks around 5-6pm for a late night. It's a hard crash when we leave for me (DH usually drives nearly the entire way home - 14 hours).
