I've seen inconsistent reports of DHS letting people in ahead of rope drop specifically for JTA sign ups- up to an hour in advance. We're actually planning on doing DHS on our resort switch day such that my son and I are going to head to DHS early just to sign up for a later slot before returning to our resort to finish packing/check out. DHS is scheduled to open at 9AM that day. Is it true I can show up by 8 and be allowed entrance to sign up with son?

Thanks!

Like you said, it's inconsistent. I would plan for it, but don't be disappointed if you are not allowed to sign up until the park opens. They let us in early on 3/15, but that may have only been during heavy Spring Break crowds.

We'll be close enough (coming from BC) that it's not a huge deal if there is no access but more wondering if it's worth meandering over at 745/8 on the off chance it does open.

Would open up more morning time at SAB post-checkout before we go back to the park and say goodbye to that glorious pool :(.

If it's a busy day, the later you get there, the longer the line could be and less times could be available, or no times. It's usually recommended to get there 45 minutes before RD for JTT sign up. If they let you in early, then bonus. If you have to wait until it opens, then you are closer to the front of the line and have better time choices. You might have to decide which is more important, JTT or swimming. It's possible that if you got there later, you might not be able to sign up at all. There's no guarantee. However, they allow more children in each show now and seem to have more shows. It's unfortunately just a gamble. Sorry I couldn't be more reassuring.
