Early October Dining booking issues?

I was just about to come on here and post about this. I noticed it would let me check our dates around the 10th of Oct, but everything we wanted wasn't bringing up times.

I don't know if this is normal for October but I don't know why they are struggling to decide on times.

There normally aren't fireworks every night in October, so maybe they are figuring our how to fit in the new parade and fireworks show. I just saw the end of September has longer than normal hours!

We are doing ABD S. CA and hoping to book BB/Fantasmic after it's over...it would be like Oct 16 or 17. I'm glad I found this post or else I would have been worried that the BB was not going to be open for dinner!

I called Disney Dining two days ago because I wanted to make a reservation for breakfast at the Plaza Inn on 10/6. The CM told me that the calendar had not yet been released for Fantasmic dining packages or in-park character meals beyond 10/3 yet because they were still figuring stuff out with the Halloween parties and that those dates should open up for reservations about the middle of this month (in a day or two, essentially).

So keep looking online and it'll be up soon!

This is crazy! Soooooo different than my usual planning for WDW. I'm not gonna lie, it's really throwing me off not knowing how to plan in advance....and by "advance" I mean 6 weeks. I just hope that once they finally DO open up availability that we can get something.
I'm at a loss...

The strange thing is Plaza Inn is the only character restaurant you can't book. Maybe it's a refurbishment? I hope not I want to eat there on the 18th of october.

I see now all the Disneyland Park restaurants have it. I think they told you the right thing anyway. Just wait and see

I just stumbled upon this thread and I'm just glad to see I'm not alone here. I've been trying to make breakfast/dinner reservations at Carnation Cafe/Carthay Circle since the 60 day window for the October 11th and have been pulling my hair, worried that I'd miss whenever it does finally go live. Here's hoping it doesn't happen at something like 4am =[

I can't book pch for breakfast either so definitely about timings.

I checked the Plaza Inn breakfast reservations this morning and still nothing for 10/6. Will try again tomorrow

The DL website says there are characters for breakfast and lunch : )
You can probably book lunch because lunch has nothing to do with the time the park opens, or the WOC package. Hopefully breakfast and the package will be available soon. Soon!

This thread has been very reassuring for us as well. We are going in early October and were panic'ing just a little bit this weekend when there still weren't any park hours/restaurant reservations available!
