We're heading for WDW in early November and was wondering a few things. How are the crowds? What about wait times for attractions? How is the weather?

Hi !

We are going on the 4th Novemebr so be sure to wear your green ribbon!

I have been a couple of times in November before and have found the crowds to be low at the beginning of the month, obviously they get bigger running up to thanks giving.

Weather was great 70/80s every day just make sure that you have a jumber for the nights as they go a bit chilly. I don't hink we have ever had bad weather in November. I have a wonderful memory of sitting with my feet dangling in the swimming pool whilst eating my breakfast!!:D

We always take our Disney trips in November or December. The crowds in early November are much better than the late November or December crowds. Do you have the park to yourself? No. However, the lines aren't bad at all. I agree with the previous poster, too. The temperatures are normally perfect. In November of 2002, though, it got really cold for us. I had to go to the gift shop and purchase thick sweatshirts and jackets because I had only brought jeans and thin long sleeve shirts for cooler temps. I hadn't packed anything for low 50 temps. I didn't mind buying the extra souvenirs! :earsgirl: :earsboy:

We are always glad to hear someone saying good things about early November.

Mix in low to moderate attendance with nice daily historical weather and the food and wine festival...

We are about to burst.

Let's get this timer to countdown faster already.

Yep! I am SOOOOOOO ready to go too!!!! November can't get here fast enough for me!!!!!!:hyper: The funny thing is that we are going on our first ever Disney Cruise THEN to the parks. My husband surprised me with the cruise. Yes; it is so sweet, and I am so thankful. However, I have to admit that I can't get excited about our cruise because I am so anxious to get to the parks!!!! To be honest, I would rather have those four days added to our park days, and I could just skip the cruise. Everyone keeps assuring me that I will enjoy the cruise once I am there. I can't help it, though, I want to be in Disney World!!!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We are going on the 6th of November. We have been there before in early November and find it to be nice. The lines are short and the temp's are what we New Englanders call "Heavanly". You can even swim in the pools---the nights may get chilly--but we always head to the airport w/warmer type clothing on anyway. We originally were going to try going Thanksgiving week but decided that would be more crowded.

We can't wait~

We'll be there on the 1st. Glad to hear it'll be nice weather. Last time we went the 1st week of September...way too HOT!!! I can't wait either!! It'll be here soon! ::yes::

Thanks everyone!! My last 2 trips were after Thanksgiving and the weather was so different for both. 2002, they went through a cold snap and it was chilly (even in a New Englander's sense), but in 2003 it was nice. This year we're trying for the beginning of November and was hoping for nice weather and the crowds not being too bad.

Just wish this countdown clock would go FASTER!!!
:hyper: :hyper: :jumping1:

I can hardly wait!!! Can anyone make the counter go faster???:earsgirl: :earsboy:

Most projections seem to base this November's crowd level on prior year's attendance. However, has anyone considered the impact on November crowds from the thousands of travelers who unwillingly rescheduled their original September vacation plans due to hurricanes Frances, Ivan and Jeanne, or the thousands of displaced Floridians still staying at WDW and Orlando area resorts because their homes were damaged?

November theme park visitors can certainly expect an increase in crowds due to the International Food and Wine Festival, Eat to the Beat Concert Series, Jersey Week, Election Day, Veterans Day, and Super Soap Weekend. But is anyone also aware that November is traditionally one of Orlando’s busiest convention months.

The Orange County Convention Center attracts major events such as the National Association of Realtors Conference, International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions, Central Florida International Auto Show and Powergen. The combined estimated attendance just from these four November conventions is 105,000.

Of course not all of these individuals will have the opportunity to visit WDW. But given the conservative probability that at least half of the 105,000 conventioneers will want to see Mickey, November attendance would still increase by nearly 53,000 visitors. You won’t find that statistic in any WDW guidebook.

You will, you will--sure, the rides are missing, but there are no hassles or lines for meals, everything is immaculate (go ahead, walk the corridors at any hour, you will find people still cleaning and polishing and painting) the entertainment is first rate, the hidden mickeys are waiting, there are enough characters to let you know its disny but not so many that they're in your face, and the entire playlist of all the disney music is piped in the background. Only lines will be at character photo ops, and you can plan your way around those being a problem. And an easy walk back to your bed for naptime or to change.

And when you get back to land, all excited about the 7 day cruise that you booked on board for sometime in '05 or '06, you will enjoy the rides and wish that the meals were as easy as on the ship.
