early morning transportation

We are staying at SSR in august and have ADRs for several breakfasts, one being Tuskers. My question is, as we are not driving can we rely on disney buses to get us to Animal Kingdom for 8Am? Or should we book Taxis?
Our other breakfasts are at more central locations, i.e. Crystal Palace and O'Hana. I know these may be on a tight time scale also, but we wanted to be in the parks before opening for the wonderful empty park photos!!
So, can we rely on busses? Or should we book Taxis? As when booking the ADRs we were told to allow 90 minutes to transfer, will the busses be running from SSR to the parks at 6:30 AM? Would it be better to get on the first bus, i.e. Epcot and then transfer? How does it work as its so difficult at this time of the morning...

I believe the buses start running an hour before the parks open, but I'd call Disney to make sure. If that's the case, I think you'll need a taxi for an 8am reservation.

I always set aside taxi money to get us to our early morning ADRs. That extra hour of sleep you gain by using a taxi is worth the $20, imho. Not to mention it is less stressful. No having to worry if you just missed a bus, or sitting there watching the time pass waiting for one to come.

Thank you so much for your prompt replies,this is my first time posting... just getting used to people out there who are able to help via a key pad ! It makes sense from what you said about park opening times for us to book taxis, as the days we booked breakfast adrs are not EMH mornings,so I can see us panicking at the bus stops .Also it is our first time staying on resort so we are unfamiliar with the bus systems .Can't wait though, as the character interactions are so special!!

As Alesia said, buses start running from resorts to parks around 6:30 a.m. You should allow 90 minutes traveling from resort to resort, but 1 hour is enough from resort to a park.

Generally, you should take the bus to the park nearest your destination resort and transfer there. However, for the Epcot resorts ... Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin ... you must transfer at DHS, not Epcot.

When you're traveling from resort to resort, especially in early a.m., always tell the bus driver what your final destination will be. They will help you transfer, and in some cases may even be able to drop you directly at the resort.

If you prefer to take taxis, be aware that taxis are not permitted to drop off at the MK. If you request a taxi to the MK, they will drop you at the TTC, from where you must take the monorail to the MK. Most people on this board prefer to take a taxi to Contemporary Resort, which is a 5-10 minute walk to the MK.

Do not take a taxi to Tusker House (Animal Kingdom) before park opening. You could get stuck with the meter ticking away and also miss your reservation time if the toll booth doesn't open soon enough.

This one you will have to be at the bus platform at your resort an hour and a half in advance. (Or don't do breakfast there.)

The buses start running by 6:30am, every morning. BUT...they run a bit less frequently as the regular daily resort to park buses do, so plan accordingly.
To get to Tusker House for an 8am ADR, I would be out at the bus stop by 6:45, latest. That way, you should be on the second bus to AK. Tusker House is about an 8 min walk from the gates, so you need to be at AK no later than 7:40ish.
There seem to be conflicting reports coming in regarding when the entrance to AK opens to car traffic...yes, you might very well be able to take a cab right in, but you could also end up sitting and waiting for the booth to open to traffic.
