Early morning return flight - would you DME it?

Our return flight is at 8 am (better than it was...used to be 7!) so I'm ASSUMING our DME time will be very early.

For anyone who has DME experience - how early do you think the bus will get us?

Will I avoid anxiety by paying for a cab instead since it's so early in the morning?

Happy to hear input!

Assuming it is a domestic flight your pick up time will be at approximately 5:00 am (three hours before your flight).

Ancestry is correct and I've been on those early buses in the past. I think you'd want a cab at least 2.5 hours before departure, so I'm not sure what anxiety you'd relieve by taking a cab. DME works fine even that early. Somehow, it just seems more sad to be leaving early than it does to leave later in the day.

I'm very bummed to have an early flight but it was our only option. Oh, well - at least we get to have fun there!

You'll be picked up around 5am...give or take 15 mins either way. You won't be able to use RAC though. It opens at 5 and you have to be done with the transaction no less than 3 hrs prior to the flight departure. So bags go with you on the bus.
Using a cab or car service will get you an extra 30 mins...not sure it's worth the cost. Only you can decide that. But, don't try to leave 2 hrs prior to departure. You'll run into more traffic at 7 and there will be plenty of people ahead of you in security. You should be at MCO 2 hrs prior to the flight.
