Early March packages

Hi all,

As a follow-up to my son an his gf's flights thread I posted a while back ( which is taken care of. They paid up and are booked ). I am looking at hotel packages.

Usually, we travel as a group using my parents' DVC. So I'm not overly familiar with packages in early March. But he is looking to book his own room with his gf at a value. Is it fair to assume that there's a good chance there will be some kind of special offer in the coming months for early March ( if we go historically ). Because right now, it's pricey rack rates.

Depending on how deep into March break you go, there will probably be some kind of discount out there. Of course nothing's guaranteed.

This is perfect, thanks! And it seems statistically, stuff is definitely released later in the year, like Sept-Nov. Which is good to know. FIngers crosseed for this year.

There is a discount thread on the resorts board. Based on the pins that have been released ... There should be a stay&play&dine package as well as room-only discounts. Only up to the first week of March. Usually Disney releases the discounts as pins first, than Disney Visa offers, then to the public. The hope is that Disney releases these offers in August (?). That's what they had last year. Sometimes there is free dining - but that doesn't get offered until the new year based on how well rooms have booked up.

Unless you are travelling at holiday time, there is usually always something.

Here's hoping. I know I got my cousin free dining during that period back in 2012, but that was totally a fluke and not because I was following it. I will be keeping an eye open.

I did actually receive a pin, but it ENDS the day we arrive. So I'll be waiting to see what else comes out...

I think as long as you arrive within the dates stated in the PIN, you can still get the discount. If your PIN ends on the day you arrive, you should be able to take advantage of it.
