Early Entry

Something makes me think they will not give out FastPasses during EE. I'll bet the FP line will not open until 8AM. So I do not think this strategy will work. :sad2:

I had been planning to get FPs for Buzz until you mentioned that SM might be part of EE...it would be a downer if FP wasn't available till 8am! (Then again, oh well, we're still able to use EE, so what am I complaining for?) :earsboy:

Hi Everyone, I can't believe how many people will be at DL next week. We will be in Anaheim on 8/2 until 8/8. We will be doing DL & CA on 8/3 & 8/4, I'm thinking DL on 8/4 to use EE, but will play it by ear. We will be staying at HOJO & we are also a family of 6...4 adults & 2 children. I hope to run into some of you while we are there. BTW, I would use FP for SM & use EE for rides not included in FP. Just my .02 cents. For those arriving before us, hope you have great weather & are able to get on many of those EE rides. I'm figuring I should have the park to myself since we will use EE on 8/4. :p See you there! ::yes:: Kathy :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy:

I'm going to do some more research on the FP during EE. I will let everyone know what I find out.

For everyone's info, both Space Mtn and Buzz Lightyear have been open during EE and have FP capability. So each of these rides are of interest.

Okay, I just called Disney Info, and she called Space Mountain CMs. Space Mountain is now part of Early Entry, as you all have said, but Fastpasses are not available until 8am, when the rest of the guests also have access to them. I would imagine the same is true of the Buzz Lightyear Fastpasses, but I did not verify that.

Thank you, Mary Jo and everyone else!

Okay, so no FPs till 8am. That just means we ride the rides, instead of running around to various FP machines, right? I think I can handle that! :)

I got the same feedback over at MousePlanet (see http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?p=685735#post685735 and http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?p=685719#post685719 post #5.)

Also, in the second thread above the consensus was definitely to not do SM during EE, but to focus on the FantasyLand rides. It makes sense. Why take up valuable EE time on a ride for which you can FP later? :teacher:

While the above logic is sound, I am getting a strong emotional pitch from my kids to do SM during EE anyways. But I think I will outvote them on this one. ::yes::

No fastpasses til 8:00 a.m. Also, I noticed that the Splash Mountain fastpass at least was not open at 8:00 a.m. or later. That was this morning. It opened by the time we rode the ride twice.

I just read on another post that if you are staying in a DL Resort hotel, you can use EE everyday it's offered during your stay. Is this correct?

Yes--you just show your resort ID.

Sorry to request another second opinion, but can anyone else verify this? I thought this was eliminated some time ago. Thanks.

gcurling,
I am just going by what I was told by the CM at check in at the GC and also when we actually utlitized early entry by showing our resort ID on our visit last week...

That's okay. I will double check when we check on Sunday. And if they don't let me, I will just say "But you let dcfromva in!!" Then they will look at me like I am crazy!

Thanks again!

I figure I'm going to have the same battle with my DS. SM and Buzz are the main attractions to him this trip, but we have the Enhanced FP, so we should have plenty of opportunities to ride these, I figure we can do several Fantasyland rides during EE during the time it would take to walk the queue and ride SM.

So recognize me next Thursday as the old lady nagging her long-haired teenager to "Come on Alex, we can do Space Mountain later on Fast Pass"

Now, if these rumors about onsight guests getting EE, perhaps I'll let him have his way on Saturday.

See you all next week. The long-range forecast is fabulous! (Highs around 82)! :cool1:

That is our week too - we will be there Aug 1-4. See you at the Monday EE! :wave2:

I'll see you too - My family and I we be there July 31 - Aug 3 - so Monday sounds like a day to EE!!!

Anyone get the scoop on DL resort guests for EE? Can they use it every day it is offered? It seems like they would push this more in the literature. I'll be there DLH 8/8-8/11 and this would be a sweet bonus.

So far dcfromva is the only person I've seen who has reported this. Perhaps dcfromva was just lucky, or perhaps Disney is trying to keep this new perk quiet for now to keep EE from getting too crowded. I'll definitely ask when I check in to GC next week and will try to post from there.

Hey HydroGuy, have you read anything about this on Mouseplanet?

Hurrah for Matthew/mwehttam who confirmed with GC that EE is now a perk for onsight guests. See his EE&DL Resort Hotel thread!

Wow, I sure hope this is true for us! We will be staying at the GC, but hope that it will still be offered every day to onsite guests in the slower time of September too.... :cool1:
