I'm sorry to ask this as I know there have been quite a few posts about Early Entry but I'm a bit confused. We'll be there from 17th-24th August staying at the Park Place Inn across the road from the parks. I keep reading that you have to get to the parks early. Is Early Entry available to everyone with Park Hoppers (ours are 5 day hoppers) or do you have to be staying onsite?
Thank you.

All "park-hopper plus" passes include one early entry. If you purchased your pass through the WD Travel Company, or through any agent that deals with the WDTC (most do), you should have a park-hopper plus. I don't believe any passes purchased at the gate include EE.

Staying on-site is of no benefit for early entry.

Oh thanks for clearing that up for me!!! :worship: I got the hoppers through Expedia. Is any day better than others?

I have never heard of any day being better than the others. We are going in a couple weeks for four days, and plan to do EE the first day of our trip (happens to be a Monday) because we will have the most energy that day and will not be out late the night before getting in midnight rides. So the first day of your five may be best.

Here are some other EE implications. On EE days which are not YOUR EE day, avoid FantasyLand in the morning because it will already have lines when the regular park hours start. Such days are good days to go to DCA. EE days are also days for some folks who got "Toontown Morning Madness (TTMM)" access. On regular days Toontown opens one hour after regular opening. TTMM allows people with TTMM tickets into ToonTown one hour early for special access to TT and characters etc. Thus TTMM starts at regular DL opening time.

FYI, here is what we plan to do and why:

Day 1 (Monday) - Use our EE and stay in DL all day. This is a good EE day for us since we will not be out late at DL/DCA the night before and will be able to get to bed early.

Day 2 (Tuesday) - This is an EE day for others (we used ours on Monday) so it is best to avoid FantasyLand. We will go to DCA in the morning and come back to DL in the evening for shows and fireworks and a few rides.

Day 3 (Wednesday) - Not an EE day for anyone, so a good day to hit FantasyLand early and stay in DL. We will go to FantasyLand early and to Toontown at 9AM since this is not a TTMM day and TT will not already have crowds.

Day 4 (Thursday) - This is an EE day for others (we used ours on Monday) so we will avoid FantasyLand in the daytime.

Wow - thanks for all that - it sounds very complicated! Does that mean that EE days are always the same? Our first full day will be a Wednesday but it looks like that's not an EE day. Can I assume that Wed, Sat & Sun are not EE days but the other 4 are?

EE is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday, so Sunday, Wed., and Fridays are not. Days are subject to change; the only time I've heard of a change was during Grad Nights in June.

EE days are Mon, Tue, Thurs, Sat. Sorry, wasn't trying to make things complicated  , just give an example of how someone might work with and around EE. When I do this it drives my wife crazy, but she likes the end results. :teeth:

I really appreciate your help. As we've only got 5 days I want to use every minute as best we can!! :sunny:

Can someone comfirm exactly which attractions will be open for EE?
Disney says the EE attractions are subject to change, so the strict answer to your question is "No". Typically, the FantasyLand rides are open with the exception of StoryBook Land and Casey Jr. Frequently Matterhorn is open and Buzz Lightyear, and I have heard they have also been opening Space Mtn during EE.

Thanks everyone for the information. I wasn't too sure on how it worked either. My DW and I pretty much have the same schedule as HydroGuy. We have 5 day passes and will be using them Mon through Fri the first week of Aug. Looks like we will also use our EE on Monday also, for the same reasons: day with the most energy! :Pinkbounc
Thanks again!

Just noticed your UK address. Looks like you will be coming a long way! Five days will be more than enough to thoroughly do DL and DCA. But you are right that it is a good idea to have some kind of plan so that you do not waste time. Make sure you understand how FastPass works (see http://www.micechat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5720).

That's really kind of you - thank you. I understood FastPass at WDW and think I understand about the 2 different networks in the 2 different parks and the stand-alone machines!! I'm guessing it's going to be pretty busy in mid-to-late August so we'll definitely need them!
We leave home 3 weeks today - I'm getting SO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool!! You will spot us by looking for the couple that looks a little bewildered!:rotfl:

Nay, actually I am not worried about being "bewildered." These boards are just chuck-full of tidbits that have helped me plan this trip.

My DW will have on her Tink pin lanyard. I will have my WDW hat (unless I find a nice DL one on Sunday at DTD) as well as taking pitures of everything, lol. If you see us say "Hi!"

Well, we are six. Me, DW, and four boys (!!!) 13, 12, 10, 9. DW usually gets matching shirts for all four boys, and sometimes for mom and dad too. We will look fresh that morning, but that will change throughout the week! That would be cool if we bumped into each other.

Wow. I dress my 4 boys (6,5,4, and 10 months) in matching outfits too. LOL :rotfl2: . My family has always made fun of me for it but I think it looks nice for pictures and at WDW it was easier to keep track. Just had to reply. Have fun on your trip. :wizard: We won't be there until late August. :cheer2:
