Early entry with Universal partner hotel?

DD13 and I are doing a quick weekend trip to US/IOA at the beginning of October so that we can go to HHN for the first time EVER!

I booked the cheapest hotel through the Universal website - Coco Key. I didn't think we'd get early entry, but it looks like on the confirmation we do. Am I reading that right?

I believe you will only get EE if you book a vacation package, like tickets and partner hotel together.

Yep, that's what I did. We're really going mainly for HHN, so EE is a great surprise!
