Early Entry how's and why's

Hello all. We are planning a June visit and I have major goals. We are upgrading to annual passes so I am formulating new plans of attack. I know what "Early Entry" is. What I don't know is how early it actually is and where you find out about the schedule for EE. Will there be a packet at checkin? Or are EE days always the same, and it's just 1 hour before regular opening time? Is everything open or just certain attractions? We usually sleep in but with the heat in June I am trying to mobilize the troops early, especially for the MK.

Basically, yes, EE days stay the same, and the park opens one hour early. You should receive information at checkin. Only certain rides are open, usually the most popular ones. For instance, in the MK the Fantasyland rides are open along with Space Mtn etc. If your troops will mobilize early, go for it -- it's the best way to get things done before the heat of the day AND the tremendous crowds drag everyone down. Then you can go back to the hotel and swim and rest and hit another park that evening! If you don't do EE, stay away from that park that day, or at least until the evening -- it will be very crowded.

Thanks, TexasAggie -- that is what I suspected. I want to do the MK one evening to see Spectromagic, but that is another matter entirely. I like the idea of being "up and at 'em" early, at least one day. Now I just have to convince my snoozer-losers!

Just ask them if they would like to stay in bed and stand in line for an hour? Or get up early and get on at least four or five rides in an hour? Then after a few hours they can go back to get in the pool or take a nap.
