Early Entry Day Question

I had thought that when you purchased a package through anywhere, Disneyland, Costco, etc that when they said early entry that you were alloweed to use that for all the early entry days during your stay, after make a few phone calls today, is it my understanding that you actually only have one day of early entry during your stay??? This doesn't make sense to me, I thought that you were able to use any of the EE days, is this even the same if you stay onsite??

If you stay offsite, you only get the one early entry day, but if you stay onsite you can use all of them during your stay. Does that make sense?
