Early-Early Roll call.... 4-28-07 Eastern

I have upped the excitement in the Russell house this week. I got some of that window chalk. I drew a giant Mickey head and boat underneath(we have sliding glass doors in our living room). I wrote "Days to go" around the ears, and each day we change the count. It is in bright bold colors and the boys love coming down each morning to change the count.

I am working on door signs. I have soooo many ideas, it is hard for me to narrow down what I want to do! I did download the big green Mickey head, and I am putting it into a self laminating pouch. I thought I'd take a dry erase marker and use it as a message board. Anyone on deck 2, come by and say hello! We are in 2136.
:yay: :yay: :yay:

I think I need to start packing! I am really trying not to bring too many pairs of shoes. I don't want to overpack.

By the way, Angielovesthemouse, we are originally from Clayton,NC. Moved here to Miami almost 5 yrs ago. Miss NC in many ways, but have enjoyed Florida living. Don't get out to Disney often being 5 hrs away though.

Anyone else cruising without passports?? We passed on the passport this time around since it was not required although encouraged. We mean to get them "in case" but not this time. Seems like everyone else has their passport anyway but us Whetzels.

We opted out on passports, too. We decided to wait till we HAVE to have them since our kids are young, and we don't cruise every year. If we go again next year, we'll get them then since they are only good for 5 years for kids.

Yea, we're in. DH 40, DW 37, DS 9. We're doing Dolpin Encounter on Anguilla. Golf on St Thomas. How are we DISers meeting?

Welcome Aboard!
We are meeting at the sailaway party 5ish on deck 10. Wear lime green something. I'm still looking for leis.

Anguilla is a small island a little north of St Maarten. We have about a 45-60 minute boat ride after we get off of the Magic.

:flower3: Hi all
I got the kids passports today :cool1: so that stress is gone.
QUESTION...God forbid, your child gets seasick onboard, what are you going to do for them anddddd what would the ship doctor do for them (kids under 10)?
Hi to all the new people <<waves>>

Hey!! We're Russell's too!!:thumbsup2 Three of our party is coming from NC - Wilmington. Mostly we are Russell's from Pennsylvania - you know...the better (Pa) Russells. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

We'll also be neighbors on Deck 2. WWWWAAAAY up front. I havent started on the door signs yet, but I have bought the supplies. I was thinking I would print in black and white and the kids could color them in while we are at the terminal waiting to board.

:beach: Hey we are doing the encounter as well. Other than the book, I havent read the reviews for this excursion, but it was a MUST for the kids. Have you heard any feedback or tips? We're doing second shift.

Linda

They have Bonine for children. You may want to get some to have on hand in case. I don't know if the ship would have the children's dosage.

I always suspected my husband had yankee tendancies. Probably some long lost cousin. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Linda, do you have Bonine for Kids? They're flavored chewable tablets. That's what we had for the last cruise, but fortunately we didn't need it.

Thanks for the thread. My son, Alex (4 ) and I will be on the ship as well. This our second Disney cruise this year. We went on a 4 day at the beginning of March and loved it so much that we couldn't wait to go again. We also have one booked for Dec with my folks as well. Do we have any other single parents on this trip?

Our thoughts also. With 6 kids the cost adds up. We aren't sure what we are doing for next year's vacation yet. We are thinking maybe Cedar Point or Smokey Mnts TN. Or maybe a RCCL cruise. Anyone have any good ideas for family vacations? My youngest will be 6 then.
