First cruise ever!
Hubby scheduled for dive in St. Martin
Family, black beards tour pirate:
Enough spa to break the bank!

We are scheduled for the first night at Palo. Are the kids programs runnning that day or is it just an open house?
the first night in kids club is an open house only -

I have a 3.5 DS - I am glad to see another boy in his age group!!

The first night is an open house in the kids clubs, but if you want to you can leave your kids there.

We did when we went last May, and there have been numerous postings about it since.

Best thing to make sure would be to post to a recent cruiser and ask.

Its getting closer! I can't wait!

I think that I will keep my Palo reservation. What's the worst that can happen? I leave the boys behind and eat alone!:thumbsup2

Thank you for the suggestions and the warm welcome to the group.

I'm going to try both Target and Staples tomorrow:laundy: and hopefully my door magnets will print out well. I def. want both the boat and the logo on the door since there seems to be so many of us on the 7th floor! I just found out I'm only wait-listed for early dining! Bummer! How many of you are dropping the kids off on the first night. We should all say hello then!:grouphug:

It seems like a lot of us have late dinner seating, too. Maybe we could meet before the first show???

We have the late dinner seating also. Do they have shows on the first night?
Would everyone like to meet after the firedrill?

I think that it's a great idea to meet after the fire drill. I would like my DS to meet some kids his age before he goes to the kids club. That way he will feel that he already has some friends there.
Where could we meet that is big enough for everyone?

Anyone going to the parks with little kids before the cruise? I wanted to ride Expedition Everest with someone. Meet for fastpasses. Have the girls ride together while the men stay back with the little ones and then switch. Regular kid swap but not with a stranger.

For some reason I wasn't getting emails that anyone was posting here! I just checked today and there were several that I have missed!!

I like the idea of a meet, however doesn't the Sail Away Party start right after the boat drill?

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

We booked officially today! There are three of us,,,me(29), DH (30), DD(will be 6mos at sailing). Flo:banana: unders here we come!

hey guys...just wanted to post an idea that I had for inexpensive keepsakes. I'm going to buy a few kids books before we go and take them to get autographed (and dated) while we're onboard. Do all characters (including the princesses) autograph? we are traveling with a baby and thought this would be a good keepsake for her to have as she grows. Just an idea....

We should find out from the sailing veterans if this is correct. I have no idea, we are first timers. We will be the ones with saucer eyes looking at everything in wonderment. :rotfl:

Ditto!

If you see a young woman wandering around dragging her husband's wrist saying "OMG look at _________" and "Oh honey look how cooool!" ....yeah...that'll be me. :rolleyes1

Here's an update with our cabin number (5628). We are also spending 3 nights before the cruise the Wilderness Lodge and will probably go to the Magic Kingdom on 4/26 or 4/27.

I am so very jealous of all of you who will get to go to MK before/after trip. WE are only doing cruise this time around, and I am about to have a duck fit. Can't imagine being that close to WDW(Orlando airport) and not going!!!!!

Our tri annual trip will just have to be next year.
:hourglass

Hard to imagine that some people only go to WDW or DL once or twice in their lifetimes!

Someday my senses will return and I will remember how much I LOVE Hawaii. Until then, Disney will have a serious impact on my savings!

Guess I better count how many pairs of shorts my (growing) son fits and find his sunglasses!

Hi,

I am new to these boards. My family is booked for the April 28 May 5 Eastern!

It will be myself, husband and 2 daughters age 11 and 5. I'd love to meet other who are going too as this will be our first cruise. Also, I'd like for my kids to "know" someone who will probably be in the Oceaneer club/lab with them. I know my little one will be a little apprehensive going sometimes since she does not go to preschool and is not used to being in the care of others.

We are all excited and cannot wait! I haven't booked any excursions other than parasailing in CC and Palo on our last night. We are thinking of just doing beach days at the ports and maybe a little shopping. We are definitely going for relaxation!

We will be at MK on 4/26, and possibly on 4/27 as well. It's so hard for me not to end a WDW trip with the Magic Kingdom, that we may be there 2 days in a row! We want to see Spectro and Wishes on Thursday, and MK closes early on Friday for Grad Night.

Greetings Mormadsmom...

We are first time cruisers also. I have learned so much from these boards. They are amazing. In our group it will be myself, DH, DS(14) and DD(9). My daughter Katie is already booked into the lab and she is really excited to meet fellow cruisers.

Go through this thread and you will get a handle as to who we will be sailing with.

Looking forward to meeting you all.
Kathy
