early check-in

So i a taking my family on a magical gathering for Christmas. We will be staying at POP Century when we arrive on 12/29. Would it be advantageous for me to head over to SSR to check in first thing in the morning? I know the resort will be very full but does checking in early help you get a better room, or just the first room available?

we always checkin early and we have got all our requests met.

Depends on when you are checking in at SSR. We checked into OKW on Jan 1 about 7:30AM and our room wasn't ready until nearly 6PM. You get lots of partiers on NYE who don't want to leave or who leave a giant mess for housekeepers to clean up. Both of those happened to us on that stay. The guests didn't leave until after 4PM and they left a nasty mess.

We are checking in on the 30th. But that is sad that people leave a big mess. I guess I expect better of folks. . .

We like to check in early too. Once the room was ready (we were shocked). We check in and then head to the park for the day. I think we avoid a long line at check-in and then we can call later in the day for our room #.

I would go ahead and check in as early as possible, check your luggage and then head to the parks.They'll give you a phone number to call to check on your room being available. Doubtful that it'll be ready at check in but you never know.
