Early check in question

Hello all! 1st timer here, checking in Aug 12th.

Since we're driving, we got an off-site hotel for the night before. We planned to do an early check-in to get our park tickets, we understand the room won't be ready.

My question is this...how early can we do the check in & grab park tix? For example, if I'm still awake at midnight, can I drive over, do an early check in, and we'll be able to head straight to the parks from our off-site hotel the next morning?

No. Computers dont roll over for the next day until 6a. That would be your earliest pick up time.

Although Disney doesn't publicize it, you can get your park tickets a day or two before your check-in date. I don't have the details handy right now, but if you search these boards there are several threads with the information.

I have checked into my resort hotel many times at 7 am to grab my tickets and my room was always ready- with the exception of the time we stayed at Caribbean. All the other times our room was ready at POR and all stars. Good luck and have fun !

It really depends on the time of year you go and the occupancy level of the resort. We too have checked in many times at 7am at various WDW resorts, and our room has never been ready at that time. No worries though, grab your tickets/ID and head out to a park! :thumbsup2

Precisely! Occupancy levels determine whether or not your room will be ready earlier than check-in time. Your requests also play a factor.

We are in the same situation. Staying offsite the 1st night because we are driving, then I would love to checkin and get our tickets and be at park @ rope drop the 1st morning. I can do online check-in now (59 days out today), do I have an option to request early checkin there or do I need to call and have it put on my reservation.

Shouldn't be a problem. DW and I have taken a red-eye flight to Orlando several times, arriving at our resort between 6 and 7am. We had no trouble pre-registering, getting our tickets, resort ID and parking pass and getting to a park for rope drop.
