EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

Booked my transportation from the radisson to the port on Dec 15th. 10 AM, which I hope is the earliest.

Everyone needs to feel better! :wizard: I don't feel bad today. I am tired though so I will make sure to go to bed early tonight too.

I booked the shuttle from the Radisson at 12:00. If I remember I did the 10:00 one last time and it was pretty crazy with a lot of waiting. I am hoping by doing the 12 one it will be a little calmer. Check out at the hotel is at 12 so the kids can swim at the hotel in the morning if it is nice.

We got dumped on with ice and snow yesterday. I think we have at least 2 feet of snow now. I better get the sleds out for the kids when they get home.

:hourglass counting down the days now!

We fly in Friday evening and we are staying at a hotel in Orlando near the airport. I was thinking of leaving Orlando in time to get to the port around 12:00. I was thinking that if we get there too early we'd be doing a lot of waiting. What's been everyone else experience as to when is the best time to arrive?

Laura lost another baby tooth #5 last night so I was thinking we wouldn't have to do the toothfairy (or Tinkerbell) thing on the ship until this afternoon. She has another loose one on the bottom which wasn't all that loose until she ate a fruit roll-up this afternoon. So we may still have to plan on the toothfairy visiting while on the ship after all. Some of the teeth have seemed to hang on for quite a while before she lost them.

The temperature here has dropped, it was only 19 this morning. We however dodged the bullet this past weekend and only had rain instead of sleet. Our neighbors to the north took the hit. Sorry Stacie. As of right now, the weather is supposed to be dry the rest of the week.

Last time we got to port around 11 or just after. We had either a 9 or 11 boarding pass and the wait wasn't too bad. We had met up with some other diser's in the terminal so we had fun talking with them. I will call the Raddison tomorrow and get a shuttle set up. I am thinking around 11.

I am off tomorrow :cheer2: Maybe I can finally get the laundry finished :laundy: It seems to be never ending. Rachel has to go to the oral surgeon tomorrow afternoon and get the other tooth pulled.

Hi everyone we were busy today cleaning and taking John for his 9 month appt. His current height is 28 1/4 inches and his weight is 19.10 pounds. He dropped from the 55% to the 25%. The doctor was a little concerned. He felt that my supply might be diminishing some and suggested one supplemental bottle per day. That explains the night wakings. I'm feeling pretty rotten about myself. No wonder he's cranky if he's starving to death.

I hope everyone is feeling better soon. No one wants to be sick for the cruise.

I had my first "normal" meal today since having my wisdom teeth removed. I'm just a little more sore because of it, but not too bad. Over all, I don't think it was as bad as I had myself worked up to believe.

I hope things go well for Rachel.pixiedust:

Patti, my Rachel seems to have a loose tooth forever!! She has pulled them all on her own. They hang on until they're barely dangling.

Tomorrow we hope to finish all of our Christmas shopping. Rachel has drama after school, so we have some extra time.

Good night all.

Stop it!!! You are a great mom. That's why kids have check ups, because us moms don't know everything (shhh, don't tell the husbnds). He is not starving, just growing more and burning more calories. It will be fine.

I'm glad that your mouth is healing. Chocolate Soufle (sp?) should be no problem.

On the news last night the forecast is for nasty weather again this weekend (ice and snow). It has until Tuesday to do its thing, then Wednesday and Thursday to melt and get cleaned up so our Thursday PM flight will be no problem.

Susan, you shouldn't feel bad. You are a good mom. I remember when Jacob was about 5 or 6 months old he was up every couple of hours and wanting to eat. I was on the phone in tears with my mom one day because I was so exhausted and she mentioned to me starting him on formula. He was fine after that.

The pirate costumes are DONE!!!!
The Christmas shopping is DONE!!!!
The packing is STARTED!!!!!

Sunday DSs and I went to Target and spent an insane amount of money. We got all the final cruise shopping done and some of the Christmas shopping. I finished the Christmas shopping online yesterday, I hope everything makes it on time. We picked up the dry cleaning yesterday. We only spend dollars and save all of our change for Disney, today were bringing the box of change in, we have more than $300.

DD and I are so excited that we can hardly stand it. Is it wrong to use the advent calendar for a cruise countdown?

It is REALLY windy here this morning. I thought the top of the roof was going to come flying off while I was in bed this morning.

My in-laws are making me crazy. Why can't everyone just get along. :confused3 SIL and MIL just don't seem to get along anymore. They each seem to feel persecuted by the other. It used to be just MIL, but over the last year or two SIL is always feeling like she is in the wrong and everyone is out to get her. I told Brad last night that they either need to get over it and get along or quit speaking to each other and leave us out of it. :headache: I am glad my family gets along so well. We actually enjoy spending time together. A couple of weeks ago, Rachel looked at me and said, "Mom, I don't ever want to fight like Grandma and Aunt Sally."

Good for you! Have you wrapped everything yet? I still have a few things to pick up for gifts, mostly gift cards though and I am going to hit those today. Then I will start wrapping today and hopefully get started on the packing.

The wrapping hasn't started yet. I make the kids wrap the ones they are giving and DD will probably help me with the ones that aren't for her. My eToys order is getting shipped to my mom because we'll be gone, I almost paid for gift wrapping but they wanted like $5 a gift.

DD wanted the new game of Life: Twists and Turns. I ordered it on Amazon the day after Thanksgiving for $22 with free shipping, last week I checked my order status and it said out of stock, estimated delivery 12/24! I was mad. Then I checked Target, K-mart, Wal-Mart, and Toys R Us online and they were all out. I bought it at eToys yesterday for $40. It is the one thing she has been asking for for months besides a camera. When her birthday comes in February the stores will be full of that game probably for $20 again.

dutch_girl_scout....I am so jealous, I wish I was all done and that I had a Target around here. All we have is Zellers and even though they carry the Cherokee brand name it isn't the same and it is more expensive. I did get to Old Navy and found some amazing deal on t-shirts...$2.99, $5.49 and $0.97. I like those sales :cool1:

My DD hasen't seen HSM yet and was wondering if is age appropriate for a 6 year old??? I have heard good things about it but haven't seen it yet. The rage and popularity of HSM or Hannah Montana hasen't hit her school yet.

My Dd Jocelyn (2) was an angel in her sunday school play on the weekend :dance3: but when everyone else was singing she decided to put her fingers in her mouth and pull to the sides and make funny faces at everyone. All my friends and I were crying in laughter :lmao: Our boarder got in trouble later for teaching her that. We got it on tape and are thinking about sending it in to America's Funniest Home Videos.

Got a lot more snow here... it is waist high in some parts of the backyard. Lots of fun and lots of shoveling... can't wait to get into the sun :woohoo:

Thanks for the encouragement. I only nursed Rachel a short while. I was hoping to make it to one year with John. We'll see.

We just got out all of our gifts and made a list of what we'll need. It's not too bad. I don't know what stocking stuffers to get for John though.

Jen, HSM is pretty clean and my DD loves the music. It does deal with high school students and their jealousy, dating issues. I think it's more appropriate than Hannah Montana. HM always has a lesson though. They do something inappropriate, like lie about something. In the end, they learn a lesson. I like the lesson part, but would rather Rachel not see the part that leads up to the lesson.

Gotta go jump in the shower and hit the mall. Have a great day everyone.

:hourglass

Bumping us back up to page one. We are almost to single digits, there should be no page 2 for us. :)

Just got back from the dentist with Rachel. The tooth came out no problems. I spent the day wrapping presents. I got most of them finished.
