Early Arrival????

Hello all...I am planning to visit disney late Aug-Sept 09...and I was curious about early arrival...we are arriving at 8 am..will we be able to check in at 9 am...? will they check our luggage? what about our tickets....sorry so many questions but it will be our first time on disney property so I am excited...

To answer your first question, yes you can check in at 9:00 a.m. but most likely, your room will not be ready. We went to WDW Sept. 7-12 of this year and arrived at the Poly at 10:00 a.m. I checked in and lucky for us, our room was ready. If your room is not ready, they will issue your room keys (which you can use for meal plan, tickets to the park, etc.). They will store your luggage and give you a number to call later in the day to check to see if your room is ready. You can enter the parks, eat, etc. as soon as you check in (even if your room is not ready).

You can definitely check in at 9 am, your room more than likely won't be ready...but you never know You can check in, get your tickets and be on your way to the parks. They will hold your luggage for you until your room is ready. They will give you a card with a number to call later in the day to check if your room is ready. Enjoy your trip!

We always check in before 11am and our room has always been ready. (knocking on wood for future success!!) If not, they will store your luggage for you. If you are using DME, the luggage will be in your room later in the day as well. Have fun!

We get there at 12 and I really hope our room at CSR will be ready. I was told by others that more then likely it will not be ready, so I wouldn't count on it so you won't be dissapointed when you get there. Then if it is ready, it will be an added bonus.

We took a redeye that arrived @ 5:55am on a Sat. We were the only ones on our ME bus. When we checked in at AKL about 6:30am,we inquired about any available rooms. Our assigned room wasn't ready but they did have a std room overlooking the bus stop. We decide to wait on our savanna room. The cm said they'd put a request for rush on cleaning with housekeeping, but the guest occupying the room hadn't check out yet.

We were given our key to the world cards @ check-in & used them to get breakfast right away. Then at about 10:30am, we checked again on the room status to find that a savanna room was ready, "it wasn't our assigned room" & we don't know what that would have been. Being so tired we didn't want to wait any longer, We got room 4108 & we're very pleased with it.
