Beginning of next year I'm planning on moving to Orlando. I was wondering how hard is it to get a job at Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure. I was hoping to be a ride operator. Can you help me out.

Since no one is aswering I guess i'll take over...

Getting a job as a ride op is actually very easy. It requires essentially no skill and mostly highschoolers do it, sometimes even for their first-time jobs. You push a button, the ride goes, and everyone is happy, computers do the rest. From wha I remember both Disney and Universal have extremely high turnover rates and thus jobs are always open for the beginners. Just contact their human resources departments and inquire. For Disney you'll probably nd up makign a trip to the giant "Casting" building, as for Universal, i'm not sure how they handle it. Over in m neck of the woods, at Busch, they literally have a big sign outside one of the rear entrances saying "Now Hiring, Apply Within" near their human resource offices

Apparently everyone takes my word for granted.. But if you really must know both Disney and Universal list job offerings on their websites.. just a thought..

Sorry for not posting earlier on this. It's not really that difficult to apply for a job at Universal. You can do so at the Human Resources building. You should express your desire to work in Ride/Show as an attendant, but they do profile you based on an interview. You must also pass a criminal background check to be employed at Universal. I'm sure that this won't be an issue for you.
