E ticket questions

THis is the first time I have not had a paper ticket in hand for a flight. I usually book via travel agent.
We are flying Air Tran and I don't quite know what I am doing....
Do I just print out a boarding pass the day before and that is all I have to take with us to the airport? Really? That's IT? Seems pretty easy. I am a bit nervous not having the ticket in hand. I know people do this all the time, but it is new to me.

I'm interested in this too. I understand (through American Airline's site) that I can check-in up to 30 hours in advance on my computer and simply print my boarding passes on my home printer. Then what? Do we simply go to the airport, check our luggage and go through security to get to our boarding gate?

What do they need to see when we check our luggage......our boarding passes that I printed at home?

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but I've never used this method before.

I flew USair in September and I took my printed boarding pass and the itinerary that you get when you first book the flight.
I showed everything to the sky cap when I checked in. I had no problems.

That's what I figured, but just didn't know. Always nervous trying something new. Especially leaving for WDW!!!!

We have flown quite a few times with Delta and have used the e>ticket option often. Never had a problem of any sort. Everything went as smooth as having a paper ticket in-hand.

you also need to make sure that all adults have a picture id - like a drivers license or something like that. Children do not need an id.

The main thing is to remember to bring a goverment issued photo ID with you. Also if you have any e-mails that were sent to you it wouldnt hurt to bring those along in case there is a problem. We have used e-tickets for the last 4 flights and have never ran into a problem. This is so easy you will fall in love with it.
