Because DVC Members are paying for it and it actually benefits Disney to do so, also. If the website worked properly (or even moderately better), a portion of the capacity issue as well as the calls to MS would go away. MS wouldn't need as many CMs to maintain decent wait times for Members. If MS costs less, Disney gets to keep more of the management fee as profit. (Management fee is a set percentage of annual fees less reserves & taxes).

I completely understand, and if I ran a Disney, I would fix the DVC website.

However, from Chapek's point of view, he would pay $1 million on a rewrite of the website, and get a savings of, say, $200,000 a year from 3-4 CMs that can be let go. Sure, the website would make 200,000 or so DVC members happier, but would it benefit Chapek in any way? No. Not many would buy more DVC just because of a better website.

Anyone else get the dreaded dwarves when trying to book online or is it just me?

I got the dreaded Dwarfs when I logged in around noon yesterday. I was trying to bank points. Tried last evening and this time it worked fine. Good to know the Dwarfs were on the job.
