The DVR makes me a better mommy 
. Seriously. I now never turn on the TV while the kiddos are awake (unless it is to let them watch a show or two). I wait until they are in bed, and voila! all my shows are waiting for me. Before DVR, I would put them to bed just a wee bit early on LOST nights, so I wouldn't miss any of it 
. So, the DVR makes me a better mommy, and who can put a price on that??
