DVD player

Can anyone tell me if you can get a dvd player in the studios. I know they are in the one and two bedroom villas, but I was wondering if you could request one for a studio. Thanks

I am sure our studio at SSR last October had a DVD player.

We've had both experiences, so it seems pretty random. I wish they had a DVD player in both the living room and the bedroom of the 1BRs because there have been times we've wanted to watch a DVD after the kids have gone to bed.

They are adding DVD players to studios, but they may be adding them as part of a normal re-hab cycle. If your room does not already have one, I don;t see why you couldn't ask to borrow one, unless they don't happen to have extras on hand.

It never hurts to ask, but they may or may not be able to fill your request.

We have a small portable DVD that we carry for my 4yo to watch on the plane and it allows you to switch it to a DVD player mode to output the video to a large TV. So when we get to our hotel we just hook it up to the TV and watch. They are pretty cheap and are a godsend when you have long flights with young children.

Do all portable DVD players hook up to a TV? I want to get one and don't know anything about them, so just wondering what features to look for.

Most can be used as a regular DVD player and hook up to a large TV. Look of "video out" as a feature, or "video cables" as one of the items in the box.

We have had two. The first one just wore out after 3 years of constant use. Both have had the ability to drive a large TV instead of the smaller screen. We got the cheapest one at Costco a couple weeks ago and it has it. In fact both of them came with remote controls as well so when you are using it as a normal DVD player you don't have to get up to pause/etc...

We are recently back from SSR and we had one! I am also wondering if we will have one at BCV in July?? Any BCV reports????

I am pretty sure that we had one at the BCV, but we didn't use it. We did at VWL. I'll be at BCV soon, and I'll be sure to make a note.
