DVC's Coming Soon: Poly & CR (Likely a hoax)

My question is where would they put villas at the Polynesian? Doesn't appear to be any room, at least not facing the Lagoon... Do you think they'd convert the Tahiti building, taking away rooms from the resort? It would make more sense/there's more room near the Contemporary (IMHO). :confused3

There maybe room on the other side of the TTC, also, they could relocate the current parking lot and put the Villas there.

Is this billboard consistent with how new DVC properties were announced in the past? Why wouldn't they post it on the DVC website first?
It is not consistent with past announcements.

Normally, Disney Vacation Devlopment (DVD) issues a press release announcing a new DVC resort. Shortly before issuing the press release, DVC and DVD employees are notified about the contents of the press release.

DVD has never announced two resorts at the same time.

Normally, advertising does not begin until timeshare registration with the state of Florida is completed and points are available for sale.

I'm not going to get excited until there's a reliable confirmation.

This sounds like someone's idea of a joke...it's a little early for April Fools.
Let's see a photo of the sign..... :3dglasses

The winds out of my sails, but I would have to agree.,

I'm trying not to get too excited, but it's soooo hard . . .

Is it possible that the hotels pictured LOOK like the Poly and CR, but are actually Hawaii and DL??

Jenny

I was also under the impression that the billboard was not to be unveiled until Jan. 15th

Yes an announcement on one new resort is believeable but 2 new resorts... hmmmm.... having 3 potential open properties (assuming SSR is in final phases) at once is not good business sense.

Lets start the rumor that it is a Eagle Pines!!!! :cool1:

i feel dumb about calling my guide. Maybe he won't get the message I left on his voice mail....

Or maybe he'll check into it, drive over there and take a look and will let you know for sure! You should call back and ask him to head on over, take a pic, and post it for us. :goodvibes

My mind is telling me it's too good to be true, but my bladder isn't buying it :rotfl2:
Someone take a picture please....my poor heart can't take it

Well I called mine too and left a message. Said I had heard a rumor and wondered what he could tell me.

If anything he would make note that if there ever was a Poly DVC, he would know to call me :)

Hrmm... someone could call over to Bonnet Creek and ask them to take a quick look at the billboard and let you know what is on it....

Is there any possibility that if it were true, they wouldn't actually sell points at these two resorts so as not to be in competition with new sales at SSR..but would allow existing members to book rooms using their home resort points? It seems to me that might even drive SSR sales up faster since the only way you could book at these resorts would be to own at another one. Obviously, I'm just playing with speculation here for fun.

They would make too much $$$ by selling points

I think I was fooled. And I'm usually such a cynic! :guilty:

Well, when you want something to be true really badly, sometimes you can get sucked in... :)

I do think Contemporary is coming next... but I think they have to sell SSR out first.

Maybe it is saying that there will be one of them opening up,but just keeping us in suspence on which one it will be. :teeth:
