What are the additional perks that don't come along with a DVC membership? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the purchase price. TIA.

We kept our DC membership and think it more than pays for itself on the discount we get for APs. We are a family of 5, so the discount does add up! I personally enjoy receiving the Disney Magazine, which is another perk of the DC. Additionally, we believe the National Rental Car discount through DC saves us big bucks throughout the year! Renewal is only $29.95 and it doesn't take long to pay for itself!

I kept my DC membership for the same reasons (magazine & annual pass discount) plus I shop the catalogue & Disney Stores quite a bit so enjoy the 10% discount there too.

We keep DC for the magazine and to buy parkhoppers. It has paid for itself every year.

Yes, we have the DC membership too. We like the discount on our AP's, the Disney Magazine and the 10% off at the World of Disney Store at DD. Unhappily, the Disney Stores in the malls no longer have anything for us. We also used to get the discount at National, but lately other companies have better prices even with the DC discount. As long as the DC at least pays for itself, we will keep it.

We keep ours for Disney store, catalog and on-line, as well as the discount on AP's and parkhoppers. Have used the National Car discount as well.

Me, too! Same as all the above. Pays for itself in no time!

We kept ours, and as a matter of fact, just renewed it last week. We like the discounts at NOT only the Disney store (which you get with DVC), but also the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney, which DVC does not get. We also buy Park Hopper passes, which DC gets a discount on. Plus we like the magazine that comes with it.

We haved used the the DC special rates at HHI and paid cash for the high point Fri and Sat nights. $139.00 for a 2BR in the off season. It's something like 20% off rack rate.

I use my DC for the APs , and also the toll-free number for PSs. Even if you can use MS for that (I'm not sure) they aren't open as late as Disney Dining.

I kept mine for the magazine and AP discount. But the best perk has turned out to be the 20% discount at National and one free day. They say 10% on the site, but have been giving 20%. Saved me over $40 on my last trip. I got a full size for $115 for a week incl tax.

We use it for the ticket discounts and we like the magazine.

I don't use it at the Disney Store. They exclude "collectibles" from the discount. Our DVC card doesn't have this restriction.

We will keep our DC membership also. In Feb we travelled to San Antonio and saved over $100 per night on our hotel room with the DC Entertainment feature. 4 night stay paid for many years of DC membership.

Like others who have already responded, we use the DC membership for AP purchase and the National car rental discounts. Remember that the National discounts apply for any car rentals, not just those at WDW. There is also a free National Emerald Aisle membership offer which provides an efficient way to pick up your car.

We also have kept our DC, for the tickets and food discounts. Whenever I go anywhere at Disney, I always ask if they have discounts available for DC, annual passport holders, or DVC members. 8 times out of 10, DC is the one that is the hit for a 10% discount. Most of those discounts aren't even published anywhere that I know of, but I get them on food nearly every time. It only takes one dinner for a family of 5 adults to have the DC pay for itself many times over.

As others have said...........

We use the DC for park tickets and restaurant discounts.

:) :) :) :)

Me too.
But I don't think I'll continue my DC after it expired. I just don't think the car rental rate worths the cost. Maybe because I rent the compact category, my DC coupon was not valid last time we were there. And National rarely has the cheapest rate in the rest of US, so never use my discount.

I do use it for discount in AP, but that's about it. Most of the other DC discount are very similiar to DVC's discount.

We've kept our membership as well and it has paid for itself. In fact we are getting a $50 credit on our cruise in May not to mention the discounts we had when we were in Disneyland this past February.
