We heard nothing else but that episode was a rental of some sort, presumably from a member.

I think this means that poster is a cash reservation through Disney and not DVC, that's what I took away from that comment.

I think you have been on here about along as I have(which is late 2006/early 2007) there have always been trolls. Some rather memorable ones too.


I agree the OP's sound like that BLT reservation done by a "friend" that ended up being at SSR.

Or someone from another DVC type board that has had more than a few "bad rental experiences" coming over here to get the DIS people wound up.

Stay calm... all is well. We just had a little mishap and some space junk has hit the planet. Someone fell off, but we will pick him up on our next pass around the sun.

I'm going to Vero in September and nothing anyone says is gonna stop me.

We love Vero, we were there 3 or 4 yrs ago when "Red Tide" was passing by it made the beach unvisitable, but the pool was still fun.

I have a ressie at the end of June. I just called to verify and everything is fine with mine. I did ask about any possible problems and the woman I spoke to said that if there was a problem they would have already called me. It really didn't leave me feeling very comfortable that problems like that can happen. Maybe I just didn't get lucky with the person who helped me. I just didn't get off of the phone with a lot of confidence in the system.

Breathe, people. It was one post by someone who just joined the DIS and had no real details, facts or supporting evidence. No need to get all worked up. If you have a reservation booked, I'm pretty confident that you're going to be ok. I responded to the OP with respect as if they were serious and legitimate, but let's just say that based on the quality of information provided in the post I wouldn't be calling Disney to confirm my VB reservation if I had one.

Don't worry everyone, after further research I found out that this only happened to six of us for the time frame of June 21-25ish. Disney did really good at helping to fix the problem for us. If you haven't heard anything, your reservation should be fine! Happy Vacationing!
