I just received a call that DVC overbooked Vero and they need to cancel my vacation with a week and half to go. I really wanted to have a few days of rest and relaxation on the beach. Did this happen to anyone else?
Bill Wow. It's so odd that two brand new newbies with only 1 post each had the same problem! What a bummer. I hope that DVC will make it right for both of you.
I noticed too... What a coincidence... I hope there will be some kind of happy ending.

I'm calling shenanigans
The same reason why anyone makes a new account to troll: to get folks riled up.Why would anybody take the time to make up a new account and just make a trolling post on a DVC board? Really?
I confirmed my reservation with DVC Member Services. "All is well," they told me.???? Oh, my! We plan to arrive Vero on 6/15. I guess I should confirm my reservation which was booked via RCI Exchange.
Yes, we just got a call today too that our reservation at Vero was cancelled! We booked this back in November, had it paid for, and our kids have been so excited about it. We have very irritated! Have they offered you anything else? They offered us another hotel back in Orlando, but we wanted the BEACH!
To begin, they said they "paid" for it back in November. Wake up, DVC members use points. Also, they stated that DVC offered them a hotel in Orlando instead, huh?
Vero and Orlando are a long way apart. It appears this person is a foreigner due to the grammatical errors in their statement above saying, "We have very irritated"! I've been booking DVC vacations using my points since 2007 and we visit 6 or 7 times per year. With all my experiences, we have never been overbooked.
