Has anyone recently toured DVC and can you tell me if they are still giving food vouchers to people who tour?

We got free ice cream, but that was ten years ago, you probably meant more recent than that.

lol @ Richyams!

We toured in June and we received the backpack, cotton candy and salt water taffy! No food vouchers here.

Don't know how it is now, but in 2000 we got a coupon for lunch at ESPN or Big River--we chose Big River but had a limited menu to choose from.

Back in Jan when we toured we got nothing and we even bought (put down deposit) before we left.

We did get the lithograph and backback with our paperwork, but nothing after the tour.

You've hit a sore point with me. Not only did I receive nothing, which wouldn't have been a problem. But the problem was that I'd been promised by the desk I went to that I'd get Fast Passes. She even wrote it on my invitation. After we bought, I called our guide, told him when our trip was, and reminded him he still owed us the Fast Passes. Guess what? Still no fast passes from him. Don't promise what you won't deliver.

When we made the tour around Memorial Day, we got a few different Fast Passes for the family.:jester:

When we toured in February we recieved vouchers for any of the counter service restaurants. You had to tour during the morning or early afternoon if I remember correctly. It was an incentive to get people to tour at those times that they would normally want to be in the parks.

I toured in April and received the food voucher. The DVC CM at the WL told us she would get them for us if we took a tour. She then must have typed it into the computer, because after we took the tour and bought, I had to ask for the vouchers and they looked at me like I was lying, until they looked me up on their computer. The vouchers saved $35.00 at Beaches and Creme, which was a nice way to celebrate owning at DVC. Just as an aside, my DW and I were rather surprised that we were still on their computer from a tour we took three years earlier. I would definitely ask at one of their kiosks about the food vouchers, they might be more reluctant to give you them if you're already in their offices.:earsboy:

i went in june and i received a free voucher for 5 people.
that was good for a dinner, one drink, and one dessert...

I toured last Labor Day and got a voucher good for about enough for 2 to eat lunch. I went back and bought a week and a half ago and didnt get anything other than the backpack but that may be because we had toured before and had the same guide.

maybe as a free gift...they can supply you with an actual map that tells you where the ice machines are at BWV...because it still remains a mystery to me:p :p :p
