DVC touring incentives?

Wow, a $100 incentive is sweet, and would make my job easier in trying to talk my DH into touring the AKV model. We will be at the BWV for our first trip home...can anyone confirm whether they have seen this offer in the rooms there???

Also, with us already being members, would we still qualify for any incentive, whether it be the gift cert, or fast passes, etc.?

Thanks in advance.

We took the tour in 2003 at BWV. The kids got to play in the kid's club. They gave us some salt water taffy. When we were finished, we got vouchers for free dinner for all of us. (We didn't buy until this year...although they knew they had us at HELLO...hehe):goodvibes

I think they are still offering the $100 gift certificate with DVC tour if you stay in any resort above moderate...we stayed at Wilderness Lodge after our last cruise on Magic, and in our room was the invite. Never saw such an invite when we stayed a few weeks earlier at Caribbean Beach. We actually did the tour in between park hops expecting to just eat some ice cream and walk with the $100...well, we were hooked despite years of thinking the whole DVC thing had to be a big scam. For the first time we had the correct information (instead of hearsay), kids who were now too old to share a bed, and the ability to do it without financing. What did we spend the $100 on? Mickey Crocs for my son and DVC logo merchandise!

Stayed in AKL a few weeks ago (and decided to buy AKV), and there was no $100 offer there.

Oh, dear...guess we just got lucky for once. Usually we "just miss" every great deal or promotion. We caught the tip of the tail end of the DVC 15th anniversary promotion which was what "broke us"...resistance from that point was futile :-)

Maybe the $100 offers are hit or miss...or in our case, Disney looked in their databases and said good GRIEF- look what these people spend on Disney Cruises and annual passes and trading pins and Dole Whip...we have to get them into DVC!

:rotfl2: I think that's the funniest thing I've read all day!

I took DBF for his first trip to the world last year, but we declined the tour since we wanted to use up every minute in the parks we could... Well, I convinced him to go back again this year (free food helped!) so we might tour this time. I've been talking up DVC to him so hopefully by the time I have a bit of money saved I will have broken him down!

Might look into a small resale as a starter contract so that we could just do add-ons rather than one huge (expensive) initial sale.

We were offered 3 free fastpasses each to use anytime during our stay w/ no waiting. Kinda a mini dream fastpass. When we told the CM we were not going to the parks anymore for our stay they gave us each a $15 gift card. At the end of our tour, ice cream and a ride to our dinner resies.
