Dvc to rent or not to rent....

Thank you for the replies. I hadn't paid the first owner yet so I wasn't concerned about getting my money back but I did still feel a commitment to him since we had spent two days talking about it.
In the end I just kept remembering the saying "If something sounds to good to be true it typically is" so I stuck with my gut and booked a studio with my first owner. Looking forward to VWL this Jan. my first trip to this resort.

I think it's a bit fishy to want full payment before you can see the reservation. When I rented, she booked the reservation, THEN had me pay through Paypal. I felt better knowing the reservation was out there and this was all legit

If you are booking late, the member has lots of consequences if they need to cancel. So I would expect full payment to make the reservation in that case.
