I would totally return those to Tervis for a replacement. I put mine in the dishwasher all the time, and mine have never turned like that. I have some that are several (more than 5) years old that look brand new. I have never had anything stain/discolor them like that, even iced tea. And I've never cleaned them with baking soda - only the dishwasher.

I agree... we put ours in the dishwasher all the time and none of them have done that. (we don't use the high heat drying setting though).

I got a large one in a giraffe print last summer at the Mombasa Marketplace store in AK and I just dropped it the other day and the lid cracked & split. Waaaaa!!

But I dropped it (it didn't fall far but it hit a concrete floor). Surely they don't expect them to survive drops & falls?! I know I can order a new lid...it just made me mad that I busted it like that...

I think they warranty their glasses for just about any reason. They're always helpful via Twitter, so I can only imagine they'd be the same if you contacted them directly.

Yes, they do expect drops and falls.
When I went to Bath and Body Works to get some, the manager was standing there and picked one up and threw it on the floor. Said if it broke it was covered under the Tervis warranty...........but it was just fine.

I got mine from bed bath and beyond. Absolutely love them...Mickey and goofy dressed in Cincinnati reds uniforms...two of my favorite things...Disney and Cincinnati reds and a great cup to boot
