DVC Tervis Tumblers

Love my Tervis cups!!!
Can't wait for my Oct and Nov trips!!! I know what my souviener purchase will be!!!

I'm assuming these Tervis tumblers are not refillable mugs? Rats! I was so hoping there was a return to the resort-specific refillable mugs.

I read about all the new stuff and basically couldn't find any of it at AK last week. I think I saw a new shirt with the key and bought a new coffee cup with the key and the writing all came off of it the FIRST time I washed it today. Cheap crap.

That happened to me last year. I was so angry I almost called and demanded a refund or another one. However, I decided in the scheme of things it really just wasn't important enough to get my blood pressure up about. This year I decided that any coffee mugs I buy at Disney will NOT go into the dishwasher. I hand wash all of them and so far so good.

Regardless - they should at least say they are not dishwasher safe.

I can't believe I missed this. I DID wash it by hand! It was the pre-wash before I ever even got to use it. I don't own a dishwasher and don't want one.

I finally got around to taking pictures of our 7 month old tervis tumblers. They discolored almost immediately. Apparently as I said above, you can only use baking soda to clean them -- no dish detergent. Seriously? Tervis said they would replace them, but why bother if I have to have a special process to clean them?

Interesting. Mine are washed almost daily in Dawn and they look brand new. Literally, brand new. Granted, they have never seen a dishwasher but seriously, no detergent? Baking soda? REALLY?!? Baking soda is an abrasive by definition!

I have about 10 of these (the large ones) that I purchased from Bed Bath and Beyond 2 years ago. All but one look like this to some degree. I still use them-but won't serve them to company...it's a little embarrassing. I looked into getting them replaced by Tervis, but the website states that any of the "licensed" logo cups are not replaceable. Most of mine are Margaritaville. My daughter's Mickey/Goofy baseball one is perfect, however. Go figure.

We are on city water and I always used the dishwasher.

As much as I'd love to have new DVC cups, I probably will pass on these when I see them.

Just returned from a 10 day stay & wanted to say that I had this thread in mind while searching the following gift shops during my trip....

No sign of any resort-specific tumblers anywhere.

I wasn't thrilled with any of the DVC merchandise & did not purchase any...not even a little key-chain or magnet. That was a first for me. I'm hoping they will have Tervis Tumblers at BCV or AKV next time.

We only saw them at SSR and OKW in July. I really wanted an AKV Kidani or Jambo or even AKL one.
I'm hoping they are coming soon.
I would love a BC one too.

I wash our regular Tervis cups in the dishwasher 2 or 3 times a week.
They still look like new.

Any updates on current DVC Tervis Tumblers available? I rarely *ever* buy Disney merchandise anymore but would definitely get one of these. I love using the 16oz with my Keurig because they are just the right size that they fit under the dispenser but are tall enough that coffee doesn't splash everywhere!

Boo! I hope they have some in December when we visit again. I'll be sure and post to this thread if I find them anywhere.

Has any seen them at SSR recently I have been want a Tervis cup for a while and I would love to wait and get an SSR one! Plus anyone have a pic of it.

They are at SSR. They are kinda hidden on a bottom shelf. I can't remember if it's red or white or both. It had the new SSR logo on it and what's cool is that it's a patch on between the layers.
What's so cool about them? I have never heard of them.

I think its that you can use them for both hot and cold beverages, at least that is why they are appealing to me.
