Dvc sweepstakes scam?

I got an email that looks like a real dvc email but it comes from email.dvcmembers.com

it asks if I am a member and then asks for my email, name and member id. Don’t they already know my member ID if they have my email?

Anyone else get one and know if this is legit?

This is yet another incredibly stupid fail by Disney IT. Under no circumstances should they be sending out emails requesting that members put this information into a website following a hyperlink from an email. This is basic IT security stuff. Whoever came up with this bright idea should be terminated.

How else do you expect them to notify you of an available sweepstakes? If you have questions about the validity of an email that says it's from DVC, you can contact Member Services.

No company should ever email you requesting that you enter demographic information and a unique account number into a hyperlink in that email. This is IT security 101.

Yes but Disney IT is working is still on Intro to IT. They are on page 3 or so. So maybe by year 2100, the website might work.
