DVC staying at resort

We used up all our points already! Wow, that was fast and now with Free dining we have booked to stay in POR.

How disappointed will we be staying in a regular resort vs our usual 1 br at OKW? Do I just need to cancel and wait for points to reload next April?

POR is nice. I wouldn't be disappointed.
Plus, you are going to dine free - at Disney!

We have stayed at POR several times and would do so again. It was our favorite moderate resort before we joined DVC. I still look to stay there occasionally on cash to save weekend points. Its no 1BR, but to get the free dining plan it wouldn't be a burden staying there.

POR is absolutely beautiful. Very peaceful. Enjoy the resort by walking all the lovely pathways!

I second this opinion! In fact the kids and I are just a tiny bit sad that we don't get to stay at POFQ anymore, unless we book a weekend to save points.

We are out of points already too and I don't want to start borrowing (I have plans in mind for 2009 that I'm trying to save our points for). We were able to get the DVC discount for a short trip in January at VWL and again for a few nights this July at AKV. You should call MS and see if you can find a DVC discount at a DVC resort if you don't want to borrow! Plenty of people pay cash for the weekends rather than use points...no difference IMO.
