For those of you who rent scooters and stay at OKW, do any of you stay on upper floors, and leave your scooters on the first floor? I can negotiate stairs-my problem is severe toe in and no balance when I walk straight (well, not straight, that's the problem!). Anyways, stairs are OK, just slow, and both DH and I like upper floor views. So are scooters safe to leave downstairs?

Yes, they are safe. Been on the second floor. There are electric outlets to plug in. Just take the key with you. Nice thing if it rains it is under cover.

Great to hear. Thanks!

You could always request 62, 63 or 64 which do have lifts. I've specifically asked to be in one of those buildings because my problem is my knees. I don't feel safe going down (have to hang onto any handrail and use my walking stick) and going up hurts. I also don't feel happy about leaving my rented scooter several floors away from where I am. The alternative is to be on the ground floor, but I have heard that not all of these are level to the ground and there may be some steps involved. So, if they do put us on an upper floor, at least I'll have a lift.
