Does Disney ever have anything to sell other than SSR? Or is the only way to buy at another resort is by using one of the resale services?

Thanks!!!!

All DVC resorts are available thru Disney directly. All but SSR are currently selling at $89 per point (150 point minimum for new purchasers) and there are no sales incentives. In addition, you may need to be placed on a waitlist, as DVC does not have ready availability at all resorts all of the time. Their only means of selling resorts except SSR is from forfeitures and ROFR buy-backs.

Many have found that they can find a resale for less without a waitlist.

Regardless which source you choose, be sure to do the math and see where you will get what you're looking for. There are no closing costs thru DVC and maintenance fees for the current calendar year are prorated from the time of purchase. Many resale sellers are also including closing costs and some maintenance fees in their pricing- so be sure to consider all apsects of the resale vs a direct purchase.

Enjoy!

You can buy a resale through Disney, but you have to go on a waitlist. The price through Disney is always $89 a point, and there are no closing costs, and you get the full amount of points in the first year. :mickeybar

What's the least amount of points that can be bought through a Disney resale or do they sell them in certain increments?

The smallest available contract thru resale would be 25 points- since that's the smallest add-on offered by DVC.

We just bought 50 more points @ OKW from Disney (Joan Lane was my agent).

Everything went fine and had no problmes.

In all honesty we probably could have save $200 or $300 had we bought resale, but we really didn't want to have to go through ROFR and wait 6 weeks.

Had the potential savings been more then that we probably would have went resale and waited the time.
