We are older DVC owners (52 & 61). We are into the more quieter areas of the resorts. So far we have learned that the VWL villas are really quiet! Boardwalk view not so much, however we LOVE the view so we tend to book that view. Only stayed at AKV value studio and that was quite noisy ( faced the pool). I would love to know the areas at each resort that tend to be on the quieter side ( if that's possible!:goodvibes

Can only advise on OKW SSR and AKLV kidani.
Have stayed in both one bed(standard view top floor) and studio savannah view room opposite the one bed and both were very quiet. We did go in november last year and september the year before. Room 7503 was the one bed sorry cant remember the studio.OKW we stayed in block 16 and 25 again both quiet. SSr we stayed in congress park DTD view. This was too out of the way for us to be honest.
As you have stayed at WLV where would you recommend we request as never stayed there and will be our first visit home. We will have a one bedroom.:thumbsup2

OK First off please don't refer to 52 and 61 as older :) (I'm not quite there yet but don't want to think that is old).

We love the Boardwalk and the pool view. Last time (June 2010) we were there they had a DJ and music in the late afternoon which was a bit annoying.
But I do enjoy the quietness in the morning and evening, not to mention the being able to walk the boardwalk.

Jambo House Savanna View of course is pretty quiet. (Those wild animals don't party into the late night)

SSR for us is just too quiet and not convienent, but our in-laws like it.

Ask for the woods view towards the lake, higher floor. It is REALLY QUIET! It was funny, when we went to check in the CM said "Oh, your on the quiet villas side". :lmao: That was a clue! She was right.

Hahaha! I guess I think most owners are probably young with small children. I was wondering if the pol garden view had some quiet areas because we LOVE the quiet pool!! For the most part it really is quiet. I wonder if that could be added as a request?

the Poly is not a dvc resort - at least not yet.

most of Polyn garden views are pretty quiet - unless you are along one of the busier walking paths.

bwv standard view - near the parking lot is pretty quiet if you kept the balcony doors closed. also the higher rooms are generally quieter than the lower rooms.

hey I will be 62 soon - so lots of us are over 50. the bigger timeshare did not even try to sell me until I turned 55.

okw guess it depends upon what you call quiet.
I like the water views and on the whole they are pretty quiet.

blt away from the swimming pool - but then you might forget it - between the fireworks from the MK and the EWP on the water - it can be noisey.

bcv can be quiet in certain rooms - but again the fireworks at night

I stayed at Tree House Villas last Aug and I thought the THV area of SSR was very quite, a nice break after a busy day at the parks. I found the THV area very relaxing but it is hard to justify the points if your party is small(probably more of a factor now with the points increases at THV's).

Hey BWV Dreamin!

Matthew suggests SSR.

You know we go for Thanksgiving and I have never heard a peep from other rooms.

Even on swimmable days, the pool at Congress Park is pretty quiet.

SSR is somewhat likely to hear hallway noise under the doors (especially since there is no hallway carpet) but balconies are fairly quiet. I think I recall some noise from the floor above me, too. But a golf course view can be so tranquil :) .....

So far:

SSR - Congress Park golf view
OKW- Any water view
AKV- Savannah view( Jambo or Kidani?)
BWV- Standard view end of hall
BCV-?
BLT-? ( lake view?)
VWL-Woods view

I find SSR to be the quietest resort of all, we never hear any noise. I know they were concerned when it was built about the noise from Downtown Disney and built accordingly. Of course now there is no noise from over there, :lmao:

Of course a loud neighbor can ruin it all at any resort.

THV - each building is separate from the other.
OKW - any rooms over looking the golf course, except those next to the single tennis court. During the day you might here someone on the course but at night it is very quite.

We just got back from SSR and thought is was very quiet and tranquil. We stayed in the Grandstand section with a golf course view and it was great. Though I love all the DvC resorts I have heard hallway noise most others.

I'll add to the SSR sentiment - I've had many stays there and all have been quiet, particularly those in Grandstand, overlooking the gold course.

AKV Kidani Std., right across from the pool, was also surprisingly quiet.

I heard everything in our OKW studio - buses, cars, AC compressors, other people's toilets, you name it.

I'm kind of surprised no one's chimed in with a quiet area at BCV. Go down the main hall about half way. Turn right by the ice machine to the "jog" with the rooms ending in -39, etc. The ones on the right, woods view rooms, have always been quiet for us. DH is a very light sleeper and after our first stay there, he commented on how quiet it was and how well he slept.

I think I know what BWV Dreamin is looking for(I saw her TR from her AKV value studio trip).

She's looking for an area of a resort where they can sit on the balcony and have a nice view and some quiet.
