DVC Resort Point UY Redistribution?

We recently purchased resale at BLT (Oct UY) and decided to add some direct for the same UY. So, I called and put my name on the wait list. Can DVD reallocate points to different UY's once they buy back a ROFR or do I have to wait until an Oct UY comes available for them to buy back? I guess I'm just not clear on how this works.

I see that Oct at BLT has the lowest point allocation of any use year and it has me wondering how long I might be on the wait list.

Can anyone offer any insight?

I think you have to wait for a contract with october use year to come along...

Use year is tied to the physical unit. You have to wait for them to take points from an October unit.

Uhg, I was afraid of that. On the bright side, the longer it takes the more my 2018 dues will be pro-rated.
