Since we only drive to WDW, what provisions do the DVC resorts have for parking vehicles, more specifically parking a small utility trailer which we pull to carry our luggage in?

I read in our Documents Kit that we are prohibited from parking trailers on site, (which I don't have a problem with, I wouldn't want to look at it either), but is there an off site area for vehicles like this?

Also, are DVC members entitled to free parking at the parks?

Thanks!:earsboy:

Can't help on trailers

As for free parking at the parks, you would get a parking pass at check-in at the DVC resort that would allow free parking until end of your check out day

Also, AP holders get free parking whether they stay on-site or not

If you are staying at a WDW resort, including DVC resorts, you get free parking at the parks. If you are staying offsite, you would not get the free parking, there are no special park parking priviledges for DVC members. Members have reported trying to flash their DVC card at the parks to get free parking and were denied. You need the resort parking permit or an AP.

They might have a place to un-hitch your trailer or whatever you want to call it. I would call the DVC you are staying at, the front desk and ask them before you take your trip, do not call MS, they will not have the answer for this one. You can not find room on the roof of your car, or the truck??When going to WDW I would cut back on what you are taking and see if you can make room for your luggage in you car or on it. I tell my wife when we are packing all the time we are not going into the jungles anywhere, Orlando has every thing we need, pack lighter would be my reply. DVC have laundry right on the site, most have them right in their rooms, no need to pack anything extra. Have fun, but my advice would be to leave the trailer home.

When we had friends staying with us at OKW who traveled in a travel trailer, they had to park it at POR. I called OKW and asked ahead of time.

We only had to do the trailer thing once when the my parents came with us.

We probably won't need it again for a while, but I'll give MS a call anyhow.

Thanks.
