DVC reservation switch from home resort

Okay,
So I am looking to visit WDW at the end of August for 10 days. My home resort is VWL. My family wants to stay at BC. Should I book VWL now and hope to get BC at the 7 month mark and what are my chances from anyone else experience?

You're chances at BC will probably be good, check the availability now just to get an idea. I would definitely book VWL as a backup, I don't think it hurts anything and as a VWL owner the 11 month window is a benefit you should use.
