DVC Referral reward

We opted to take the $200 Disney gift card and sent it back the first week of March. The paperwork says it can take 30-45 days. We leave on May 3 for Disney, and we haven't heard back. Member Services says we should contact our guide - haven't heard this yet, that the guide will know anything about it.

For those of you that opted for the $200 gift card, can you recall if you got it in 30-45 days, if it took longer, or if you got it more quickly? I want to be on top of things and track it down if it's taking longer than normal.

We purchased our first contract in June 2008, they were giving a $600 at that time and we had a trip planned for November 2008. We had free plane tickets, SSR on developer points, and all we needed to have a basically free trip was the gift card. When October came around and we still hadn't received anything I got my guide involved and he was able to get the card rushed for us. I would definately suggest getting your guide involved they take their sweet time with the gift cards. Good luck!

We used the online redemption method for the $200 gift card and it arrived in about 3 weeks.
 
Have you checked the member site to see what it says? Maybe it will show where in the process it is.

I redeemed my reward online and took it as a credit against my annual dues but I can see that it went through.

Just as an update.... my sister called Member Accounting today, and as it turns out, they have lost the reward card twice. She's going to expedite it to us, but I guess this serves as a word of caution: keep track of when you submit the request for the rewards card as they seem to have trouble getting it to you. :confused3 The CM was nice, but just keep track for yourselves! Thanks again for your feedback, everyone. :)

ETA: I'm not sure how to redeem the reward online. When I check the website, it's said redeemed since October - yet we never got the paperwork until March, when I had to call to track it down, and (see comment above) have not as yet gotten the card itself. For next time, we'll use the online form. Can someone point me to it?
