Has anyone used DVC Points for an Adventures Trip? If so, did you find it to be a good value for your points?
Just be careful, because they have a $10,000 per transaction limit to that. Any one transaction over $10,000 will not qualify for the 0% financing. So if your ABD is going to be over that amount, try & break it up into multiple transactions to take advantage of the 0% APR.I don't know about the DVC points, but if you have a Disney Visa (or want to get one) you can spread your payments out further by using their 6-months no interest financing on any Disney vacation. Spreading the payments over those extra 6 months makes it seem less painful.![]()
i would agree with the comments about renting your points and using the cash for your trip. you get more for your money - we did that last year and it worked out great
It's definitely *easier* to just use the points. However, there are some issues when using points for an ABD, such as anyone else on your reservation that you are paying cash for, you must pay the full cash amount up front. And if you have to cancel the trip for any reason, there are issues with the status & use of the points after that. (I'm not a DVC owner; I'm just basing this answer on things I've seen other people post here.)How does this save money? Is it easier to just use the points? Thanks for your help.
