DVC parking at Poly and standard view room requests?

We will be staying one night in a studio at Poly next month and this will be our first stay there! How does the parking work for the studios?

We were only able to get a standard view room. Are there any standard view room requests worth making or is there a semi lake view we can request similar to the Pembe savannah at Kidani?

Do you want to be near parking? If yes, ask for Pago Pago.

A handful of rooms in Tokelau have a side-on lake view, and others have a pool view. Tokelau is requested a lot, but with one night you might have a chance at the building at least.

When you arrive at the entrance to the Poly, there is a newer parking lot that is off to the right that is close to the DVC buildings. The old lot is always full since 70-80% is now valet parking.

There's a parking lot by Pago Pago. Tokealu (unlabeled building between Hawaii & Moorea in map) and Moorea are a short walk from the parking lot.

We recently stayed one night in Tokealu in a standard view and it did have a slight lake view. It was a treat. Reasonable walking distance to the DVC parking lot. We didn't have any issues with parking, and it was on a Saturday night during spring break.

Did you request your building or just get lucky with the partial lake view? About how far was the walk from the parking? We wont have too much for luggage but it still gets cumbersome! We usually stay at Boulder or Kidani and the underground parking has us spoiled at Kidani. Boulder is quite a haul to the car across the resort and parking lot--is Tokealu similar to Wilderness parking?
